Title: Thought police coming to the Federal Government
Post by: President-Elect Bob Noel on September 17, 2016, 02:21:06 AM

“We cannot let a minority of people, and that’s what it is, it is a minority of people, hold a viewpoint that terrorizes the majority of people.”

https://youtu.be/zvomInWt3ps, at 1:47

Seriously, we can't have people hold a viewpoint?

as an added bonus, we get the corrupt CAB doormat lying about gun control and demonstrating absolutely no understanding regarding the Assault Weapon Ban, the differences between "automatic weapons" and semi-automatic guns, and the root causes of violence.

The government already wants to go after people who hold different view points on climate change and now they want to prevent people from holding view points on guns. She fails to mention that those who are intent on committing a crime don't care about "gun free zones" at schools and universities. A ban on "assault weapons" (we can have a discussion on what an "assault weapon" is another time) isn't going to have the effects she says it will.

Yes. There is serious intolerence out there.  Forget about disagreeing with what you say but defending your right to say it. Today, if you disagree then you are wrong and must be silenced.

Why would you disagree?

Both major party candidates support these proposals.

Well, in an interview with the NRA, the donald isn't anti-2A.

We all know the corrupt CAB doormat doesn't have the courage to be interviewed by the NRA.

Yet, after Newtown he said Pres Obama "speaks for all of us" in he speech calling for gun control...

He's personally endorsed the assault weapons ban, and mag size limits.

Why would you disagree?

I was speaking of generalities.  Different people have different value. That is what creates disagreement. It always will.

I value personal freedom. That includes protection of that freedom.

Tolerance and respect will go a long way toward fixing a lot of what ails us.  Unfortunately, my experience with Liberals recently has been that when they say they want respect, they mean shut up and when they say tolerence, they mean agree with what I want.

I would die to defend the right of anyone to be intolerant.  I would put them in jail if they did something bad to someone they dislike.  Everyone has a right to their opinion.  Everyone doesn't have the right to act on every opinion.

Then you are unusual on the left. Most practice more intolerence and attempt to silence their enemies.

I know all that. But he's changed his tune. Believability is low, but that's all we've got. Believability as to what Hillary will do to the 2A is at 100%. And what she will do is unacceptable.

We already have the thought police.  How did the "hate crime" come into being?  In addition, didn't Loretta Lynch, "our" AG say that she wanted to prosecute those that voiced "hate speech" against Muslims.  So we can't have an opinion now, huh?

From ABC News:

Quote
U.S. Attorney General Loretta Lynch pledged that the Department of Justice will go after hate speech that might incite violence against the Muslim community, she told a crowd of Muslim-Americans and supporters Thursday night.
