As a proportion of their respective populations those numbers indicate blacks died at twice the rate of whites.

Sure.

But why?  The answer is not that police are racist.

Who commits the majority of violent crimes?
What is the relationship between black and black crime, to white on white crime?

Sure.

But why?  [snip]

and "why?" is an excellent question.

too many people fail to consider all the possibilities behind the data.

way too many.

Perhaps that is because there are way to many possibilities for all to consider.  But to make it simple, I will say this:
Blacks get shot more because more blacks are poor and are law breakers.
But WHY are more blacks poor and  breaking the law?  And how do we address that?  Is it even possible for whites to address that?

They are just a few questions, and each question opens up multitudes more questions and arguments.

Actually, there are more white people who are poor than black people who are poor.

I think you meant to say something along the lines of: there a relatively more blacks that are poor.

Systemic violence in the Black Community.  There I said it.  I have big city cop friends I shoot with at my gun club.  Some are Black.  They tell me their greatest threat is violent younger Black men teens to thirties.

I won't look it up but when looking at these groups:

white on white murder

white on black murder

black on white murder

black on black murder

I'd wager a nice lunch the last one has the highest percentage per population. If blacks really wanted to save black lives, they'd stop killing each other.

You are right, but what I should have said, and thought about saying was that people are led to believe that blacks are all or mostly poor.  That way they get more sympathy and victim status.  You rarely see just how well off many blacks really are or how well they are usually treated.  I just didn't want to get into all of that in that post.

We have to be honest, the roots are in racism; true racism I mean, not the bullshit they bleat about these days.

Racism actually means you think another race is inferior by nature, and in the 17th and 18th centuries that meant the “Negro” was less than human. This justified slavery, and justified excluding them from the Bill of Rights come 1776. People forcibly taken from their homeland to another continent with a different climate, different food, things they did not evolve with for their optimal health, and of course living as slaves never leads to healthy thriving people. Suddenly freed by the Civil War would never have resulted in instant health, prosperity, integration and equality.

This original disadvantage carried down through generations yet even so, in less than a century, black communities were thriving. Still worse off relative to whites, but on an upward trend. Families were strong, there were jobs, there were professionals in the communities and there was strong spirituality.

Then a confluence of events destroyed that progress and reversed it, leading to the urban criminal situation we have today. I’ve talked before about what those were and don’t feel like repeating it all, but I guess I will anyway, but it wasn’t conservative racism, in fact part of it was desegregation, which meant the professionals and spiritual leaders who had been stabilizing anchors, moved out. Factories closed, trains were replaced by the Interstate system, jobs vanished. Democrat welfare drove males out of the family. The Feds made drugs illegal, creating a lucrative black market irresistible to young males without job prospects or moral guidance from a father figure.

What once was thriving communities slowly recovering from the legacy of slavery deteriorated into poverty and then poor nutrition was the final nail in the coffin. Nutritional deficiencies are strongly associated with lower IQ, depression, lack of focus, frustration, despair, etc., things associated with oppositional defiance, antisocial, violent and criminal behaviors.

So yes, racism started it all, but it is a lie to say racism continues it today. In fact some of the destruction that led to today’s high crime rate among blacks was actually well intentioned corrections to racism such as desegregation or (supposedly) compassionate financial assistance to unwed mothers. But possibly the biggest factor had nothing to do with racism but the changed manufacturing landscape. The things that killed railroads had nothing to do with race. (Government policies plus rise of airlines) and whatever killed manufacturing in inner cities (Made in China?)

By comparison to where this country started, there is virtually no real racism. Therefore, the definition of racism has been expanded to include insane crap such as subtle ambiguous body language, micro expressions, or not promoting a black over a white despite lower job qualifications, which of course brings us back full circle to actually it is racism, against whites now.

The whole thing is weaponized by the left to gain power, rather than try to fix the real problems causing crime and poverty among blacks (and also poor whites).  The real fix: Bring jobs back to the inner cities (capital investment), decriminalize all drugs to eliminate the black market, (for that matter decriminalize prostitution too and regulate it for health and safety), promote gun ownership and firearms education among black communities so they can protect themselves because they are by far the biggest victims of black crime, facilitate good brain supporting nutrition, support and encourage male bonding in a healthy spiritual way, as an alternative to gangs. Males must bond in groups, it’s what we humans do. Church groups led by a pastor used to do this.

What will not fix this is fanning flames of hatred toward whitey. But that will sure lead to the second civil war. Despite what the radical loudmouth BLMs say, I’m betting most blacks don’t want that.

If black people don't get what they want, it's racism.
