Title: I’m Boycotting These Companies
Post by: nddons on June 11, 2020, 11:22:23 AM
All lives matter. But I’m being inundated with emails and ads from companies I’ve bought from or used in the past that insist on emailing me that black lives matter, accompanied by all of the bullshit reasons while ignoring that BLM is now the old Black Panthers. Fuck ‘em. I’m done, and have told them so.

1.  Under Armor
2.  Hedley & Bennett (makes aprons and other cooking stuff.  My wife is a chef.)
3.  Jameson Whiskey (seriously)
4.  National Football League
5.

Feel free to add to the list.

He's been reporting the truth on the virus and also reporting the truth on BLM.     I say it's only a matter of time before the Murdoch's kick him out to appease BLM.

As I've expressed previously, Corporate America has embraced the PC. Woke, SJW Progressive (thus Democrat supporting) ideology.  They must view this as the future and how to maximize future sales to the younger demographics.  They view them as the future, I assume more conservative/libertarian types as old and the past.  Freedom and Liberty seem to be old, antiquated ideals now.

This may mark the end.  When ALL the money is behind The LEFT (Democrats, Communists, Progressives) we are screwed once and for all.  Our Educational system and MEDIA did their jobs well.  Now they just wait for us to die off and move to their wonderful Socialist UTOPIA.

I expect there will be a lot of flash/show about the PC etc etc etc stuff.  Kind of like using "Chair" instead of "Chairman" but not actually changing attitudes.

But some (way too many) think that form/style matters more than substance and results.  So they'll continue to focus on stupid/trival things and ignore real problems.

Seattle is just waiting for Trump to send in the troops to clear out the "autonomous zone."  That's something they can point to every day until the election.  I hope that he just lets it be and it will self-destruct.

Not that I don't want him to clear out the bums with extreme prejudice.  I think that's exactly what's needed.  But the optics of that course of action will be very very bad.

Well, you can't really shut down cell service to a 6 block area.  You'd have to have a very wide outage.

Their little spat is a failure.  BLM is angry at them, but lie down with dogs, wake up with fleas.  They should have recognized that using violence to protest violence is not an answer and denounced it early.  Too late now.

Not that it really matters, but the area the protester have control of is the seattle gayborhood.  The crosswalks are painted in rainbows.

Sure they can shut down cell service. They can use stingray type devices that disrupt cell coverage.

How about bringing JUSTICE to Inner Cities where BLACKS commit the vast majority of CRIME, including Violent Crime and Black on Black MURDER.  How about addressing that INJUSTICE???

How about the INJUSTICE of Black Murderers cutting PLEA DEALS with liberal, Democrat DA's who just want quick conviction stats and let these guys walk onl to do it over and over and over again.  More crime more murder by FELONS out of jail.

How about addressing that SOCIAL INJUSTICE???

So sad, all the companies signaling their wokeness to “heal” “racial injustice.”

Almost all those dollars (and I see it’s up in the billions now) will just go wherever all the federal dollars went in Elijah Cummings’ district.

You know, the dollars that were supposed to help black people.

otoh - consider John 13:1-17

Quote
John 13:1-17 New King James Version (NKJV)
Jesus Washes the Disciples’ Feet
13 Now before the Feast of the Passover, when Jesus knew that His hour had come that He should depart from this world to the Father, having loved His own who were in the world, He loved them to the end.

2 And [a]supper being ended, the devil having already put it into the heart of Judas Iscariot, Simon’s son, to betray Him, 3 Jesus, knowing that the Father had given all things into His hands, and that He had come from God and was going to God, 4 rose from supper and laid aside His garments, took a towel and girded Himself. 5 After that, He poured water into a basin and began to wash the disciples’ feet, and to wipe them with the towel with which He was girded. 6 Then He came to Simon Peter. And Peter said to Him, “Lord, are You washing my feet?”

7 Jesus answered and said to him, “What I am doing you do not understand now, but you will know after this.”

8 Peter said to Him, “You shall never wash my feet!”

Jesus answered him, “If I do not wash you, you have no part with Me.”

9 Simon Peter said to Him, “Lord, not my feet only, but also my hands and my head!”

10 Jesus said to him, “He who is bathed needs only to wash his feet, but is completely clean; and you are clean, but not all of you.” 11 For He knew who would betray Him; therefore He said, “You are not all clean.”

12 So when He had washed their feet, taken His garments, and sat down again, He said to them, “Do you know what I have done to you? 13 You call Me Teacher and Lord, and you say well, for so I am. 14 If I then, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another’s feet. 15 For I have given you an example, that you should do as I have done to you. 16 Most assuredly, I say to you, a servant is not greater than his master; nor is he who is sent greater than he who sent him. 17 If you know these things, blessed are you if you do them.
