Thankfully many criminals, even in superior numbers are COWARDS, and flee at the sight of a gun. They expect most people to be unarmed victims and are shocked when they see a gun. Whether it be a home break in, a car jacking, or attempted mugging on the street. Often, no shots are fired, which is the absolute BEST outcome, but then nobody knows that the self defense with a firearm was successful. These mostly do not get reported.
Still the science is settled, and the debate is over. Law abiding citizens are safer with guns than not.

It seems that the DNC and RNC are continuing their 2016 bet, that is, seeing which party can nominate the worst candidate. In 2016, the DNC won the bet, and they are looking to repeat.
In 2016, I voted for Ted Cruz in the Primary thinking Trump had no chance, nor did I think he was a good candidate. Then as the nominee, I listened to what he said, and since elected he says the same things, and also has either implemented them, or is trying to do so. I now think he was the best candidate the RNC could have fielded, and will in 2020.
Trump is by far the best candidate the RNC can nominate. It is no longer a pick between the lesser of two evils. It is a pick for the U.S. or for a Socialist Utopia the Democrats want to create.

My Dad was a WWII veteran, and spent the entire war in DENTAL SCHOOL as an Army Private, as the school was taken over by the U.S. Army. Don't like it? You can withdrawal and report and be drafted. Upon graduation he became a Second Lieutenant then ended up in the Army of occupation in Germany 1945 - 1949, and was discharged as a Captain. He never called himself a WWII veteran even though he actually was.

He's used to being a real estate developer, negotiating in a grandiose manner and acquiring stuff. If it were me I would have floated this to Greenland quietly, and PRIVATELY to assess their position on it. Trump can be a bull in a China shop.

Last time they did one that big was I think 2009. Now he's looking at payroll tax cuts, which will balloon the deficit by hundreds of billions of dollars. These are moves you make when the economy is in trouble, not when it's as strong as he's been claiming.
Tax RATE cuts don't "balloon deficits". They typically grow revenue as they spur economic GROWTH. More people and businesses making more money pay more total revenue.
Trump is trying to avoid the SELF FULFILLING prophecy the Media and Democrats (same thing) are creating of a recession. It is called being PROACTIVE. This is how businessmen think. You act BEFORE there is a crisis, and avoid one.
