So he shouldn't stand up for the Black population of Baltimore by calling out their Congressman?  Hmmmm.  BTW, what was the $18B spent on in Cummings district?

Rat breeding programs from what I understand.

I just put my Tesla on autopilot so I can do whatever I want. It's a great tool that allows me to surf the web and text with friends all while eating a veggie burger and sipping on my soy latte.

(And for Anthony, it's still 100% humor, or should I say sarcasm ;))

Ask ESPN what all that sports network’s race-baiting over the past few years did to their viewership numbers. Right. This nonsense put them in a subscriber-losing tailspin from which the once premier sports network has yet to recover. Why? Because sports fans who ponied up the ever-increasing price of an ESPN subscription package were paying to see sports, not another clone of CNN’s stable of fake news clowns.

ESPN has pretty much ruined sports for me.

I’m so glad my wife, my daughter, and I each went through 12 years of catholic schools.

A friend of ours was a Spanish teacher at Charlotte Catholic High School. She moved to Myers Park HS in Charlotte, which was I believe the top HS in the Charlotte Mecklenberg high school system, for materially increased pay and opportunity.

At CCHS parent teacher conferences, the school was crawling with parents, and you usually had to wait in line to talk to the teachers. Parental involvement was enormous.

At MPHS, she would have maybe one or two student’s parents show up for parent teacher conferences. Parental involvement was nil. She was also threatened 4 times by students including twice in the parking lot.

She returned to CCHS for less pay but a safer and more fulfilling career where people actually gave a shit.

It's amazing how much more people appreciate stuff when they pay for it.

the two are intimately related, dumbass

Intellectual are, but intellectuals are smart enough to know that an illegal immigrant who stays here long term, contributes to our society without getting into or causing trouble and puts down roots os someone worth keeping.  Something Trumpkins can't seem seem to wrap their pin heads around.

Some intellectuals are smart enough to know that presence of an SRY region confers maleness through the TDF, but human sexuality is enormously complex.  It is affected by a plethora of genes, environmental controls and hormonal flux.  As such some folks seem to identify the other way.  Like I said, the ones I've met were off, but I still say live and let live. The ones I've met are either solid contributing citizens or trying to be.  Of course, the conservative says jail them all, or some such.

Some intellectuals study history, and know what happens when things are run by landed hereditary aristocracies like what we're developing right now in the United States, where 40% of the nation is owned by 1% of its citizens.  Conservatives seem to adore that situation for reasons i will never understand.

Yeah, those intellectuals, Bob.  Some of us don't care about ideology.  Some of us like to do what works.

Good job validating Bobs findings. You've convinced me he's right.

I self identify as a multi-billionaire. The government should provide funds to allow me to live that lifestyle.

Spin Zone / Forget the wall. Let's build a moat!
« on: March 10, 2019, 09:34:08 PM »
Okay, we can't call it a moat. Let's make it a canal. Let's face it, Carter gave away our last canal that allowed our warships to cut the corner between the Atlantic and Pacific oceans. So, let's build another one. It will be the next 8th man made wonder of the world. There's lots of pluses to this approach.

1. Since it's on the border, we can hire all sorts of aliens at dirt cheap prices to do the labor. The resolves the issue of them filling up our cities as illegal aliens. The can be housed on the southern side as well.

2. Since this will be used to pass military ships, it will need to guarded by the military. Anybody trying to cross the canal without permission will be trespassing on a military compound and be subjected to the appropriate actions.

3. Get AOC or Pelosi to suggest it, and fight for it as a green solution. Make it their idea in other words.

I do the incredible sin of allowing Uncle Sam to take an interest free loan from me. As such, I only claim "1" for my withholding.

I always appreciate the refund. It's a mental thing. Kinda like how some people think that DST automatically gives them an extra hour of sunshine.

I'll never forget Kristin (Ms "Miltantly Moderate") chastising me a week before the 2016 election and telling me "Your world is about to come crashing down around you!"

Right after Trump won, she disappeared.

Along with a couple of others.

I guess their world came crashing down around them.

Thanks for the welcomes.

I worked for the RNC during the early Reagan years. Great job at the time. Can't say I'm 100% republican on all matters, but I do lean that way quite a bit, if not libertarian.

I must say, that I don't seem to recall anytime in the past the amount of crybabyness that has occurred since Trump was elected. In the past the worst I seem to recall was seeing bumper stickers that said "Is it (insert next election year here) yet?" and general complaints.
