Heck. Why don't we just skip the election and let DHS select the new President. And they wouldn't be locked into Trump or Hillary. They couldn't do any worse than we do. And it would cost a shit-ton less.

We are seeing the Federalization of everything at this point. It will not be long before local police departments are Federalized. Everywhere there has been a problem the DOJ has put the local police under their thumb. Next move will to Federalize them all.
Doesn't seem like a far step to take over the election process then to "make sure everything is fair".

And allowing Hillary to become President will set us directly on that course.

What we are seeing is all out panic by Obama/Clinton and the democrats. They do realize that they can indeed lose this election. Now you are seeing them get more aggressive in assuring they will keep the upper hand.
As Stalin once said "It doesn't matter who votes, it only matters who counts the votes".

The DHS taking this step would ensure an internal civil war within the next 50 years. Given the breakdown of law that has occurred in the past 8 years, there is no way the federal government counts the votes and there isn't an issue.
Before you can count the votes, you must either be trusted or you must have the muscle so it doesn't matter.

The DHS runs the TSA. Let that sink in for a few minutes.
There is a lot at stake in this election. For Obama, he and his Wookie are already planning to set up his presidential library and foundation once he leaves office. He is going to use the Clinton Criminal Foundation as his model so he needs a direct line to the WH in order to sell his influence.
The Clintons have already sold lots of favors and their donors are expecting something in return for their "charitable" donations. Remember, Hillary was expecting a cake walk into the presidency so she had lots to sell leading up to this election.
A Trump win in November will crash both the Obama Foundation and the Clinton Criminal Foundation.
And if Trump was doing as bad as the MSM wants you to believe then there would be no need to try to get the DHS to take over election oversight. Remember, we already have the FEC in place.
In the next few weeks I believe we are going to see some extraordinary measures take place in order for the administration to get control of this election.

Depends on how it benefits the current administration's party affiliation.
