Remember David White over at POA? He was a smart ass kid who got help getting his ratings, took a job flying in Canada, and thereafter became the world authority on all things Aviation?
I met him at Jay Honeck’s parties at OSH back in the day. Still a smart ass kid. Well it looks like he’s quite the Republican hater, and a gun owning one at that. Saw this on a FB site called Guns and Aviators. (Who knew?)

Flies in Alaska actually. He's been that way for some time. He actually disappeared from FB for quite awhile only to show back up recently.
For a bit he domiciled in Seattle. My whole family took an Alaskan cruise several years ago and we picked him up and took him to dinner with us. We've also met him at Sun n Fun. He has really swung left over the last few years.
Not sure how many of you know Herve Marchedier, but he went to Alaska for a time and was with David, flying for the same company I believe. It's a bit funny as they are surely polar opposites.
Herve regularly gets 30 day suspensions from FB, so many that he has a second account when he's on time out.

I like Robert Johnson’s comment. He’s spot on.

Frankly, David White doesn't ring a bell...

I think I remember him and Reverend Slappy too. ;D
-
Yeah, remember him. Far left, not interested in reading any of his views.

I've met David a number of occasions. I always liked him. Yeah, he was a whipper snapper, but what young people aren't? I actually thought him very mature for his age, and I was always impressed at how a teenager was flying himself all over the country. His parents actually got a really good deal, they bought him an airplane and paid his gas, and now he flies for a living. Cheaper than college.
Last I heard he was living in a boat in Alaska, can't recall which city. Had a lady friend for awhile but it didn't pan out.

Slappy was just the southern end of a northbound mule.

Yep. And he hated me and got banned for repeatedly violating the TOS. A real D Bag.

I didn't know you had to be a pilot to join POA.

You don't, but Slappy only participated in the Spin Zone and the mods didn't particularly like that.

He was a particularly irritating jag off.

Wow, Pittsburghese right here on PS.

Slappy was entirely disrespectful of anyone who didn't agree with his point of view, far more than even I on this board. I tried to get him to back if off a little, but to no avail. A pity too, the guy knew everything there was about taxes. But he was a little like Number 7, except he was a bright guy who did post stuff other than insults now and again.
When the Spin Zone was active it was fully 1/3 of the message traffic on POA, itself the most active of all the aviation boards. Mods deep fixed it because they didn't want to deal with it. Wankers.
