Since S.A. is a NATO state, a NATO clearance could be used to work in sensitive areas cleared for NATO personnel.

I stand corrected. SA is not a NATO member. They are a US ally Nation.

I am not aware of any treaty between SA and the US requiring the US to come to the Kingdom's aid if attacked.

And I'd even question the phrase "ally", in even the loosest, non-binding terms.
