I used to go to Baltimore a decent amount in the 80's and 90's.  I even lived in a suburb of Baltimore for about six months.  It used to be fun.  The Inner Harbor, Little Italy, Fells Point, Federal Hill were all places to go, eat, drink, see bands, and have a good time. 

We could walk from the Inner Harbor through Little Italy to Fells Point and back anytime of night with no fear.  Now I would NEVER do that.  Maryland does not recognize by license to carry a firearm.  I will not go there unarmed, and defenseless today like I did a few decades ago.

Around 2000 I became involved with a group of submariners that were doing restoration work on the submarine in Inner Harbor. We had some good times doing that and did a lot a good things. Today, only the core groups ever goes down there anymore and not at odd hours.

Just another way they’re suffering
