Title: CDC reports 0.26% fatality rate, about 2.5 times worse than annual flu

https://www.theblaze.com/op-ed/horowitz-the-cdc-confirms-remarkably-low-coronavirus-death-rate-where-is-the-media

The CDC is reporting that the fatality rate for CV-19 is just 0.26%, barely over a quarter of a percent.  Compared to the 0.1% fatality rate for the flu, this is only about two and a half times worse.  But even if you're over 90, the mortality rate is only 10%.  Now, "only" 10% is a really high number...if there was a 10% chance of dying by going flying, I'd be firmly on the ground.  But it isn't the death sentence we've been told by the medial

Almost all of the fatalities fall to those with comorbidities.  If you are under 50 and healthy then your chances of dying from CV-19 WITHOUT a vaccine are less than dying from the annual flu WITH a vaccine.  You are more likely to die in a car crash driving to the doctor than you are of CV-19.

That's based on the data we have.  However, there is also speculation that because of the asymptomatic rate, there are cases we will never know about.  If those cases are understood, the rate will drop even further.

If you are a Leftist - this is not the epidemic you have been looking for.

Well, don't run too fast/too quick.

The CDC page being cited is the current "best estimate".  Over time we've seen the CDC go back and forth...

I suspect the leftists strong with TDS will not believe it possible that the CFR could be that low.

I think the 0.26% is inflated, but even it it is not, there should have been no lock down.  There are so many people that either don't get symptoms or get symptoms so minor they do not seek medical attention nor get tested.  Where are those statistics captured?  They're NOT.

There are so many that had this and either thought it was a mild cold, or mild flu, or whatever that were never tested, that never sought medical attention.   So yes, that number is dramatically lower.  But the politicians, bureaucrats and academics want to play a numbers game to steer the narrative.  Right now the media is salivating over the "100,000 deaths" narrative.   Never mind that that is 100,000 out of 330 MILLION, never mind that that is inline with a bad flu season, never mind that people are dying of other things, oh, and never mind it is a fraction of abortions.

The low information types only see "100,000".   No further thought necessary or required.

Here's the link to the CDC model page, what they provide for people building models.  The numbers do change a lot as data is collected.
