Our elected “leaders” are unwilling to lead. They are all sitting by as either

(a) willing accomplices (D’s) or

(b) with their thumbs up their asses hoping not to hurt their re-election efforts by not being confrontational.  We are being let down across the board.

Hey!  Stop criticizing my future ex-wife!
Who are you, Dennis Quaid?

Heard 66 year old Quaid married a 27 year old blond.

All the protest stuff is a means to an end.  I don't believe they really care about the symbolism (  any   of   it  ) as long as they get what they demand.
What do they demand?  “Justice” is as nebulous as a beauty pageant contestant who wants “world peace.”

Neither will be achieved when there are evil people on this globe. So now what?  Where to we go from here?

(These rhetorical questions are not directed at you Bob. They are what I would ask the mob before I ran over them in my F-150.)

Spin Zone / Prediction for 3 Nov 20

I can’t believe I’m saying this, but with how long this insanity is going on, I’m predicting purple and red precincts will have masked, armed (guns, knives, hammers, bricks, skateboards) black and white BLM and Antifa Marxist terrorists descending on polling locations, threatening and scaring old white conservatives from casting their ballots on Election Day.

And law enforcement will stand by and let it happen.

We're stuck with it until November if Biden wins.  Otherwise we're stuck with it until November 2024.  More testing means finding more asymptomatic cases.  But we never know how many of those go on to be serious.  There are NO standards for counting this virus.  They can't even count deaths properly.

WHAT THE HELL
I literally was looking for a byline from The Onion or The Babylon Bee when I read that.

Rush Limbaugh for decades has said that he used absurdity to illustrate the absurd.

Absurdity is now reality.

I think we are in the initial stages of a PURGE.  Whether it be styled after Nazi Germany, Mao, Stalin, Pol Pot, etc. it is happening.  No, we do not yet have death camps, nor blatant kidnappings and murder of political opposition.  The Left knows that would be too much too fast and get a backlash.  We now are going through a Cultural, Societal Media/Democrat driven shift.  The scariest part is the embrace of CORPORATE AMERICA which holds jobs and money over people's head like the sword of Damocles.

I've driven through many rough parts of Chicago and Detroit and Cleveland other large cities. I used to date a girl who lived in Humboldt Park in Chicago. I have some pretty decent street sense.

This morning I was returning from a meeting with a client in a town 25 miles north of Milwaukee. The route back to my office is going south on I-43 into downtown Milwaukee, then west bound on I-94 for about 8 miles. On the way back I-43 was completely shut down. 2 mile backup. No known reason. Nothing on the radio.

We were forced to exit at McKinley. I wound my way down W Walnut St to 27th to State to 35th to Wisconsin Ave. Lots of choke points where if the natives were restless it could turn bad, fast.  This is exactly how people can simply turn a corner in a city and accidentally enter a box canyon with a violent mob and no way out.

Not a good time to remember my Glock is sitting in my fucking shooting bag at home until I get around to clean it after going to the range last week.

Damnit, I hate being unprepared. Lesson learned. Never again.

Later, I found out why the interstate was closed. This is a regular occurrence in Milwaukee in that stretch of the interstate.

Wouldn't that more properly be:  "Naval aviator"?

Quit landing so 'firmly' and you will not hear it anymore... ;D
I only had the perfect landing once. I fell off the bar stool right onto a drunk chick who had fallen right before I did.

I’m not a gentleman, but I’ll chime in. My husband went flying yesterday.

Enjoyed takeout barbecue today with our son, keeping distance. Sadly, our daughter has decided at least for now that she can’t stand to be with us because certain topics of conversation make her uncomfortable. This is very strange, because for several years now we’ve had a no politics rule at her request, and have done more than fine, having great times together, NEVER mentioning anything political.

She did go for a walk with only my husband today but it didn’t give us much hope.

Not sure what has changed, but it’s pretty painful. I was proud of all of us and so thankful that we’d done so well. I hope this banishment is temporary.
Becky, Im curious. Was the “keeping distance” your idea, or your son’s idea?

I ask because at least here in Wisconsin we are so over the distancing thing.

We had our first live CAF meeting since February on Saturday, where we went through the history of and did a walk around of our SNJ-5. Out of a request by some, we agreed to do it online as well, which is logistically very difficult. We didn’t know what to expect, but when people kept showing up I was very pleased. We had 25 people in the hangar, and two 70+ guys wore masks, but that’s it. Interestingly, only 5 people chose the online option.

Hope you’re flying or grilling or something other than work.
