Just from the FYI dept since there seems to be a lot of interest here and Fox doesn't have the story yet - Ginsberg returned to work today at the Supreme Court.
Hope nobody is disappointed.

You know, I tend to not use profanity on this, nor any website, but Fuck You.

I'm disappointed. She's 85 years old and has been through a number of very exhausting health problems. I'm disappointed that she's feeling the pressure to stay on and working very hard instead of retiring and enjoying the few years she has left. I'm disappointed that so many people are pushing her so that Trump doesn't get a "win". She's had a remarkable career and I'm disappointed that all eyes will be on her as she continues to decline.
-
I too am disappointed that she didn't take the opportunity to retire and live out her life in private.
-
Oh, and it's RBG, not Red Green Blue.
-
Who's RGB??? ???

Who's RGB??? ???
Ruth Gator Binsburgh.

It is a little weird that FOX (among many others) isn't carrying this.

More important things going on than an old lady showing up for work?

Not to bflynn. I think he’s hot for Ruthie. He can’t stop thinking about her.

Probably. Then again, 2 weeks ago, a significant portion of the Republican party was questioning whether she was secretly dead or dying and it was being covered up. I can see both reasons for them to publish it and reasons for them to not want to talk about it.
Then again, consider that so far, this has generated more messages than the thread about McCabe plotting a coup.

I want to thank you for posting that information. I still haven't seen much coverage of this unless I actively search for it. I wonder why that is? This is something that is important and should be of interest to all Americans. My wife, who only reads liberal outlets had not heard this until I told her. She was thrilled to hear it.

At that age, with so many medical problems and a compromised immune system due to the drugs and surgery, she is shortening her life.

I suspect she would die sooner if she didn't return to work. Some people are like that.
Not me.

Ignore this, if you are already doing this, but you need to smack her around a little bit.

She wrote the majority opinion in this case.

When was the last time SCOTUS had a unanimous decision?

I wonder if this will chill civil forfeitures. I hope so.

Surprisingly, unanimous is the most common decision. I just looked it up.
-
Jan 22 is the answer, it was a patent case. Lesson, don’t shop your invention around, even secretly, before the patent date.

I could have sworn I posted a reply to this, but it seems to have disappeared. The gist of it was that I too was somewhat surprised. But pleased.
If the court is ruling on Constitutionality, most decisions should be unanimous. If they are ruling on right or wrong, then you can expect partisan divides, but SCOTUS is not supposed to be ruling on right or wrong. They are supposed to be ruling on Constitutionality.

That four US Supreme Court Justices felt that there was no individual right to keep and bear arms in Heller continues to scare the fuck out of me.

Civil forfeitures are way out of hand. Unfortunately this ruling applies to excessive fines and proportionality if a conviction occurs. It will do little to stop the kind where they take your wad of cash at a traffic stop because you “probably got it from selling drugs”. It’s pure highway robbery by thugs with guns and no accountability (the police).

Me too. What does that tell you Stan? It tells me that liberal/progressives want to have their boots on our throats with no way to fight back. It tells me they are Nazis or worse. Communists like Stalin.
