House Speaker Paul Ryan on Thursday said that President Trump would refuse to sign the spending bill passed by the Senate, sending lawmakers back to the drawing board to avoid a government shutdown Friday.
Emerging from a meeting with the president at the White House, Mr. Ryan said the president would not sign a spending bill that did not include funding for border security.
“We just had a very long productive meeting with the president. The president informed us that he will not sign the bill that came from the Senate last evening because of his legitimate concerns for border security,” Mr. Ryan told reporters.
“So what we’re going to do is go back to the House and work with our members,” he said.

It's big business. Big lucrative contracts.
Example, Afghanistan. Look at the number of civilian contractors there.
Start with the motor pool. All civilian run. Mess Halls? All civilian run and operated. Plus logistics, again, civilian run. These are huge contracts, this is why we have poured $800 billion plus into this operation.
Last time I checked, diesel fuel delivered to Afghanistan (and we use a lot) is over $20/gallon delivered, again, civilian run.

They thrive on big government contracts, and they need the support of the dims as well as the republicans. If they supported such an effort, the establishment (d&r) would thrash them and look for another contractor.
The grass roots effort is beautiful. It's approaching $4 million right now, after only 3 days. Just think where it will go if it gets more media coverage.

They are tied at the hip with the establishment class, and they are no friend of the President.
The votes should have been there in congress and the senate, but once again the RINO's prevailed.

It shows ingenuity and American spirit. Will it get to the ultimate goal? Who knows.
But it does show that Americans are concerned, concerned enough to actually dig into their own pockets if necessary.
This should send a message to the inept's of congress. No doubt the progressives are searching for an obscure law to say this funding is illegal, or even better, the Russians are behind it.

A policeman approaches their vehicle with a flashlight and taps on the window motioning to roll it down. "Evening!" says the officer.
"Good evening officer - what seems to be the trouble"? asks the 1st priest in the drivers seat.
"We're looking for a couple of pedophiles", the officer explained.
The 1st priest rolls up his window as the police officer watches him have a discussion with the 2nd priest in the passenger seat. The officer, waiting patiently starts to become concerned because their conversation seemed to never end.
Finally, the window rolls down, and the 1st priest says.
"Okay, when do we start"?
