I sold my 2 year old travel trailer over the weekend. I sold it for almost 4k more than I paid new for it. Not complaining about that, but then I paid $60 each for sheet plywood a few weeks back for a garden shed. I just wonder when this bubble will burst, and how it will be Trump's fault.

Much different time, media was not nearly in the pocket for Democrats as it is now. Today's media will find ways to spin this such that Biden is not responsible and only Democrats can fix it.

Carter, although incompetent as president, was a likeable guy.
Xiden is not a likeable guy, and reeks of corruption. His cohort is even more unlikeable by her own party. And both of them combined make Carter/Mondale look downright conservative and fiscally responsible.
The media during Carter did act somewhat more responsible and followed through on stories. The MSM did actually report on the rabid inflation, high interest rates, gas shortages and Carter's failed foreign policies. And they did report nightly on the Iranian hostage crisis and the ultimate failed rescue attempt which forced Carter to address the nation and take full responsibility.
Reagan was a far better speaker than Carter, and what he offered was essentially the first version of MAGA. The other thing that made Reagan stand out was his ability to surround himself with very good people.
Finally, at that time this country wasn't under the full on assault by the communist and Marxist as we are seeing today. Children weren't being indoctrinated in schools in Marxist ideology. Yes, the leftist were dominating higher education but not to the extremes we see now. And government wasn't being weaponized against the citizens as we are seeing today.

Continuing at this rate, prices in Nov 2022 would be 2x what they were in Jan. They would be 6x in 2024. A gallon of milk will be over $10 and a gallon of gas will be nearly $20.
I don't think prices are going up 600%. But without a doubt they will be high enough that the media will not be able to hide it.
