Title: Have a great 4th of July... but fireworks are bad?

"On July 1, the gun control group [bloomberg] tweeted out an image with the message 'Consider gun violence survivors on the Fourth of July.' The image was accompanied by a further message that stated,

Every day, an average of 100 Americans are fatally shot & hundreds more are shot and injured. If you’re planning to set off fireworks to celebrate the 4th, consider letting members of your community know so those who might be sensitive to loud noises can prepare themselves."

So, I guess we should let everyone in the country know that today is Independence day.  That should cover the community notification.  But, I just wonder who in this country doesn't already know that today is Independence day and that there will be fireworks.

Stupid people have to act stupidly.

They can’t help themselves.

Someone should remind Bloomberg today is a day that we celebrate our forefathers using guns to bring about violence on a repressive government to free themselves.

These assholes have to politicize everything to fit their twisted agenda.  How about reminding them that most violence committed by PEOPLE with guns is inner city, Black on Black violence and SUICIDES.  Not the law abiding citizen that legally and responsible own guns.

If guns are so dangerous, then why don't you disarm your large, ARMED security detail Bloomberg?

They also never talk about the crime that is prevented by guns or the lives saved by guns which are many more than those hurt and killed by guns.

Quote
In the #USA today there are tanks in the capital and concentration camps at the border. It is time for #NATO to rescue the #American people from the despot in the #WhiteHouse
The best way to rescue those people is to help keep them from being forced to sneak into this country.

I’m watching President Trump speak from the Lincoln Memorial.

He is deliberately giving credit for the greatness of America to everyone from General Washington to an old black man from Alabama and Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

If obama was making this speech he would be doing nothing but talking about how great he is.

No wonder the moron left hates him. He gives credit to the people instead of the state.

Bingo, and spot on. I met him once at a POA fly-in (actually drive in due to Wx) at Janesville, WI. He wanted me to fly with him as a safety pilot so he could shoot some approaches. Not on my life would I fly with someone who doesn’t have a rational grasp on facts, as evidenced by the quote from him above.

He had the capability to make mad max seem almost sane.

I'm confused :-[
Are you guys talking about Aechrest or Asechrest?
And who is Scott Migaldi?
And how does this all tie in with the 4th of july or fireworks?

Sorry, that is my fault as I can't spell his weird screen name.  Scott was a participant on POA a long, long time ago that was very far left, and sometimes a jerk about it.  I totally forgot about him, but he was a frequent poster in the old POA Spin Zone before the site went full Commie.  Asechrest (sp?) is nothing like him.

My wife and I have had dinner with he and his wife on two occasions. He lives very close to my sister and where I grew up. We never have talked politics at those dinners and had nice conversations.
He does seem to have gotten much more militant of late.

You forgot to mention Slappy, who was 100 times worse.  He actually got banned from PoA as he had nothing to do with Aviation.
Scott used to have his plane at Galt airport, if that isn't irony.  ;)

Oh, how can I forget the Reverend Slappy?  He HATED me, and I stopped responding to him because his posts were just vile, personal and stupid.  Yes, he was banned for all the personal, vulgar insults and attacks.  Yes, he was worse than Scott, and that is saying a lot.

At one of the POA Fly-ins, I actually wore "Reverend Slappy" as my name tag.  You know those sticky "Hello My Name Is" tags?  :)

Slappy knew everything about taxes, but he was kind of like some folks here.  Contradict or just disagree with him, and he'd just start insulting you.  And his weren't even a bit funny.  I personally tried to get him to chill bit to no avail.  Pity, he was very knowledgable.

I only met Scott once, seemed like a really nice guy. We had both flown into the same heavily occluded 2600 foot turf strip, so he had to have some aviation chops.

It is an interesting phenomenon with the interweb.  Sometimes online personalities are surprisingly different than in-person.
