It would have been much more interesting if they hadn't stopped at the slip.

Italy is a communist country.
Just like california and new york.
The ruling class have zero interest in the workers.

So you are in favor of Unions getting wages above their value or five years of unemployment?
-
The Italian government has been screwing over taxpayers, employees and customers from the beginning with this badly managed unprofitable government run airline (with some slimy deals with private entities putting money in their pockets leaving taxpayers holding the bag.)
This is just another round of trying to reincarnate this failure of an airline of which covid was the final nail in the coffin.

I know that the Italian government has been a corrupt and incompetent mess for way over a century and they have created most of their own problems. Just as our government is now doing to our country.
My point was that Alitalia is not the first airline, or any company for that matter that has been ruined by unions. So when the union bubble bursts, I have little sympathy for them.

I agree with that too. When unions exceed reasonable correction of injustices and devolve into greed and grifting, which they inevitably do, they destroy the very industry upon which they depend. But when it’s government owned, where you can operate indefinitely in the red, you just destroy the whole economy. There’s plenty of blame to go around.

The government - industry alliance is the one at fault.
Fuck the communists and fuck anyone making excuses for them.
The union is what brought down the communist Polish regime, but your commie professors probably neglected to teach that.
