Oh they're definitely real. I will never understand women getting implants, but then I am generously endowed so maybe I can't relate. The exception of course is reconstruction after mastectomy. But even then not sure I'd do it. My sister had implants after her mastectomy, and in the end she said she wished she had not, because the cancer recurred behind the implant and she thought the implants masked it, and if not for them she might have caught it sooner and survived.
But for purely cosmetic reasons? Subjecting yourself to the risks of invasive surgery, and risk damaging milk ducts endangering future breast feeding? I don't get it. Do women believe all men reject small boobs? I know that's not true. One guy told me, "I love all boobies. Big ones, little ones, perky ones, low-slung ones. I love them all!"
Or do women do it because they feel they must compete with other women?
My ex wife had implants for cosmetic reasons. Not the one you met at the Fly-in Rush, the one after. She got them when she was 21 and we started dating when she was 30. I asked her why she did that and she said she hated the way she looked in clothing being relatively flat chested. Oh, ok. I bought it, but she was just a very narcissistic woman with Borderline Personality Disorder (or worse) and just wanted to meet men with money. Oh, she was very, very attractive, but that was part of the sham. Ugh.
So, I don't know why women do that to themselves, other than wanting to attract men. And yes, we are that superficial, sometimes.
