Title: good for COSTCO
Post by: President-Elect Bob Noel on May 05, 2020, 05:42:56 AM
I don't shop there but kudos for COSTCO refusing refunds on TP, paper towels, sanitzing wipes, water, rice, and Lysol.

All you f'n hoarders can choke on your 100-year supply of TP.

The local ACE hardware has had a sign to that effect at their checkout counter since this whole thing began.

There are places where you cannot do returns period as they are afraid of the packaging carrying the virus.

Ewwwww I wouldn’t want to take returns just because the package might have been sitting on the tank of someone’s commode or on a shelf in their bathroom. Tests have shown that when you flush, a spray of invisible feces molecules reaches up to 6 feet away. I hope y’all keep your toothbrushes enclosed.

Went to Costco last night, every meat case was empty. NO chicken, beef, or pork to be found. No toilet paper or paper towels either. Just an empty isle.

local supermarkets in the Boston area seem to be getting meat again.  Not 100% but much better than almost bare shelves.

frozen veggies - not so much.

My wife just called me to tell me she lost her shit at Costco (she’s Irish and all that that implies.)

She went for chicken breasts, and nothing on the shelves. No beef or pork either. The sign said “no more than 3 items of chicken, beef or pork per person” or something to that effect.

But there were lamb chops, so she got six packs of them.

She went up to the checkout, which was surrounded by 7’ tall plexiglass, and the guy said “ma’am, I can’t sell all this to you.”  She
Said “it’s lamb, not beef.”  He said “ma’am, I can’t hear you.”  This repeated 3 times, with both people in masks trying to talk through or over plexiglass. Finally she took off her mask and yelled so everyone could hear “IT’S NOT BEEF, IT’S LAMB!!!”  So of course the brain dead checker couldn’t accept that and had to call over his supervisor, who finally “approved” the purchase.

She is so over this. This was the first and last time she will wear a mask during this fiasco.

I knew guys that hoarded .22 ammo after Sandy Hook and the shelves were totally bare for about two years.  These guys bought so much .22, they could probably never shoot it in their lifetime, yet had to buy it and keep it from others.   I always was able to get reloading components and shot a lot of other calibers during that time but backed off on .22.  It is just pure selfishness, and lack of respect and consideration for your fellow Man (and Woman).

I kept laughing at the people who were paying around $15/box of 50 for plinker .22LR ammo.  Fortunately they never figured out that the premium match ammo was never in short supply (I'm talking the really good stuff that is $1500 for a case of 5000 rounds)
