Title: Big win - civil asset forfeiture
Post by: Rush on January 24, 2024, 11:53:28 AM
This is huge.  A big win and bringing to light the blatant corruption of the federal “justice” agencies.  It will be very interesting if the government wants to pursue this with SCOTUS.

We live in a Police State. Why wouldn't they pursue it, but perhaps they don't want to lose

The FBI blatantly disregarded the limits of the warrant and attempted to outright steal property that they had been explicitly told by the judge to ignore.  The property within the boxes was not to be considered within the parameters of the criminal investigation.  They confiscated it anyway as alleged "proceeds from criminal activity" when there was zero evidence of that, AND they had been told explicitly NOT to do that.

Why are these agents not being found in contempt of court and jailed?  That there are no consequences whatsoever tells us they will continue doing this.  They probably will not pursue it in case SCOTUS rules against them and the whole civil asset forfeiture scam is shut down.  Except at this point even if that happens the FBI will probably ignore SCOTUS's ruling and still continue doing it.  Just like local and state governments are ignoring SCOTUS's Bruen ruling.

I think SCOTUS is compromised anyway.
