Was The Poop Swastika Incident At Mizzou A Giant Hoax?
Quote
Something stinks at the University of Missouri. A reported incident of vandalism at Mizzou sparked university-wide protests, a boycott by the school’s 4-5 football team, and eventually the resignation of the university’s president and chancellor.

There’s only one problem: no evidence of the alleged incident, in which a poop swastika on the wall of a dormitory restroom was reported, has ever been made publicly available. Did this incident occur as reported, or was it an immaculate defecation that formed the foundation of an unimaginable deception?

Maybe the Mizzou President was happy to get out of the madhouse?

Oh, and there's also this, file under "Check Your Privilege":

"The newspaper says that [Mizzou student hunger striker Jonathan] Butler's father is Eric L. Butler, executive vice president for sales and marketing for the Union Pacific Railroad. His 2014 compensation was $8.4 million, according to regulatory filings with the Securities and Exchange Commission."

I suspect it was not the leading community agitator on a nearly incoherent hunger strike, but the football team work strike that pushed the issue.  As irrational as their demands may have been, each and every university that is reliant on nearly unpaid student labor for their multi-million dollar sports programs is in the same exact position.

I don't question that some people have an innate compulsion to change their gender or sex, a compulsion that when suppressed has a destructive impact on their emotional stability. I don't think that it's the flippant decision that many people make it out to be.

I do think that it will become more accepted as time goes on and awareness grows. How accommodating society has to be to that, however, is a really big, complicated question.

This sounds like my view on the matter -- there is some number of people who experience a compulsion to scar their bodies in numerous ways.  The individual may be made to feel better about themselves by undergoing an addadichtomy (or its inverse), but in the end it is simply a rather expensive palliative.  As RMS said over on that other board, someone now living might think themselves King George III of England -- I should not be compelled to accommodate (or finance) their delusion.

And all this because they wast to keep Trump off of SNL.  Its clear they don't give a damn about SNL's recent racist skits against Marco Rubio.  "Pacism" is cool if its against a Republican, apparently.

And its not like this sort of thing doesn't have precedent on the left.

A Native American leader at the forefront of efforts to ban the “racist” Washington Redskins team name dressed up in blackface for Halloween.

If it wasn't for double standards, leftists would have no standards at all.

Does your company book your travel for you or are you on your own?  Can you tell them you'd rather drive?  Google maps says its about 350 miles and 5+ hrs one way.  Honestly, at that distance, I'm never flying commercial anyway.  The overhead hassle getting to and from the airport on either end, security waits, doesn't save anything -- time, money or aggravation.  And if your expense report lists 355 miles at the IRS approved ~$0.51 per mile, who's to say you didn't drive?
