I'm absolutely certain that it was caused by lax gun laws in Germany.

Drudge is reporting that there were reports of "Allah Akbar" being shouted by the gunmen. With the lax refugee policies in Europe, this was bound to be a side effect. You can't let that many people from the Middle East in and not expect this to happen.
