Pilot Zone / Amazon
« on: August 10, 2021, 10:25:40 AM »
An Amazon adventure. Back in June I ordered a Z-Wave three way switch. It was ordered because it did not need a special switch on the other end. The witch was delivered and I took it out of the box and went through the installation process. Got it installed and followed the instructions and could not get it added to my Z-Wave network. The switch did not seem to operate as the instructions detailed. I noticed the front of the switch did not look like the picture in the instructions. I contacted Eva Logik and we began a long email conversation. Eva Logik asked me to take a photo of the back of the switch for the model number. I've been bus and only yesterday did I take off the face plate and pull the switch out of the box so I could see the back and take a picture. What I discovered was the actual switch I installed that cam packaged in the Eva Logik box was a GE branded Jasco WiFi switch model MTS5407. I was able to get an install guide, download GE's app and add the switch, link the app skill in Alexa and can now control the switch.

I can only surmise that someone ordered the GE switch and could not get it to work, bought the Eva Logik switch and put the GE switch in the Eva Logik box and did a return.

I called Amazon this morning. I do not want to remove and return the switch. I was asked if I wanted some compensation and I said yes. I was offered $5 on my account. I explained all I had been through to get to this point. Placed on hold and then was offered $10, that was the last offer. Said I would accept it and then go tell everyone on social media, the phone went dead.

At the age of sixty I was offered a very nice package to go bye-bye. I looked around a bit and didn't really find anything of interest. We adjusted our budget accordingly to make the money in the package last while I made the trek to sixty-two.  Wife had been on disability for years so she was already drawing from Uncle. We're not rich, by any means, but are enjoying time with each other. Just passed ten years retired and would not change that at this point.

If your own doctor won’t do it, find an osteopath or naturopath to up your odds of getting a prescription. You will need a consultation. They don’t prescribe it willy nilly.

In the meantime, get Ivermectin paste for horses in the equine section of the feed store. There are videos and links all over the internet about how to calculate a human dose based on your body weight. Since you (Eppy) already have a positive diagnosis, it might help you improve until you can get a prescription.

That’s what I did. Haven’t decided yet whether to use it for prevention or only if I become ill with Covid.

Just saw the post from jb1842. That’s the brand I got.

Actually, I do not have a positive diagnosis. I tested negative nearly two weeks ago now, never had any symptoms and am far enough out now to not worry.  My wife and I did attend a concert in Nashville at the Ryman Wednesday night and the place was packed, as was Nashville in general.  I did see a chapter member post on our slack account that he was taking it as a prophylactic.

The Governor here in Georgia is beginning to get on board. I think he is seeing his Governorship beginning to slip away. We have an interesting race shaping up here in Georgia. We have Vernon Jones, Democrat turned Republican running against Kemp.  VoterGA is going to expand their effort to other counties now having found evidence of crap in other counties besides Fulton. I've offered to help VoterGA, haven't heard anything as yet.

Still waiting for a report of the Arizona audit to be released.

Dan Bongino Rule #1, or something like that. There are no Democrats that are Republicans, there are Republicans that are Democrats. May not be exact, but close.

Based on the currently available data, I am surprised that the Mayor of D.C. has not imposed a Kevlar vest mandate on all residents and visitors.
To the end of July there have been an average of 16 homicides per month. For the month of July (thru the 27th) there have been 5 COVID deaths. Wear your vest, save a life.

Goebbels used similar tactics of his time period.   The CCP uses this exact same tactic against their people (this is where the idea originates).

Go watch cable news or MSM and watch how individual networks all use the same talking points depending on the message of the day.

And FWIW, I spoke with a doctor friend last weekend.  He's telling me that ICU's and hospital beds are indeed filling up, but not what most believe.  He's seeing more and more heart problems and blood clotting issues putting people in the hospital, with people that don't have a history of these problems.   Care to guess what they have in common?
I'll take Vaccinated for $1,000 Alex.

You have never heard me approve of mask mandates, lock downs or travel restrictions.  In fact, I am also opposed to mandatory vaccines, or even bribing people to get vaccines.  But except for a few people for whom the vaccine is medically contraindicated, I think reasonable people would choose to get the vaccine.  I'm glad I did.  And if you think that is "virtue signaling", at least I am not stuck at home under quarantine.  If YOU don't get a vaccine, then YOU are at a higher risk of getting the virus than I am.

On the other hand, if too few people do get the vaccine, and it continues to run it's course, then more variants will emerge, and I will again be put at higher risk.  Just not as high a risk as those that didn't get the vaccine.

As for allowing hundreds of thousands to illegally enter our country, I'd as soon shoot them on site rather that give them amnesty.  See how quickly the flood would turn into a trickle after that.  A side benefit would be all the legal liberal citizens that might be horrified into leaving the country.  Mexico would probably have to close THEIR border to keep them out.
Almost like the flu  ::)
