Title: The final 2016 debate
Post by: Little Joe on October 20, 2016, 05:29:30 AM
Trump:  I fully support the 2nd amendment.
Clinton:  I fully support the 2nd amendment, but . . .

Trump:  I will appoint judges that will interpret the Constitution the way the founding fathers intended.
Clinton:  I will appoint judges that will stand up for "women's right to choose", LGBTQ rights, . . .

And here was my biggie:

Clinton:  My tax proposal will not add one cent to the deficit!!!!
(does anyone remember "if you like your doctor . . ., if you like your health plan . . .
the PPACA will reduce everyone's premiums by $2,nnn)

The corrupt doormat wasn't lying.  It will add billions to the deficit!

I can't watch the debates, nor the "news" anymore.  I just can not stand the sight nor sound of Hillary.  It is not just her totalitarian Commie message, it is literally her image and voice.  She is just GROSS.

I hope this country is done with the Clintons. I had a disturbing thought last night. The Obamas are moving to a $9M house in DC. Is Michele going to make a Senate run, then show up as a candidate for the White House?

But no, I will try to live in the moment today.

Actually, she was using the term "debt", not just deficit. Apparently, as long as you think you can turn the spigot as high as you need to (from those wealthy that aren't paying their fair share) then I guess her free everything plan can be deficit neutral.

There's just one problem with that. Anyone?  Anyone?  Bueller?  Anyone?

If Hilary looses, as seems more likely lately, there is no come back for her. A loss even with the overwhelming connivance of the progressive media machine and the never ending dishonesty out of the white house in her favor, will convince ever her that America is done with her disgusting career of crime. Hilary losing will also damage the precious legacy of Obama and put an end to having to read about Bill's sexist life of idiocy, once and for all.
It was funny to see reporters wondering if Hilary's phony (psychotic) smile was turning off voters as much as it is turning off reporters.

With the Democratic machine in urban areas, bubble headed soccer moms (and their emasculated husbands) in the metro suburbs, the Media, illegal aliens, and voter fraud Hillary will be tough to beat.  I hope you're right, and her, Bill, and Chelsea fade into obscurity.

Not only that, I can just imagine the HISSY FIT she will throw, and everyone around her including her staff and supporters will have to put up with it.

Although we're older, we live in a relatively hip downtown neighborhood, and are surrounded by 30's couples who are doing fairly well. Almost all are voting Hillary, because "this country has to change."  Well, if she wins, good luck kids! You'll be the ones boned the hardest over your lifetime.

We just had change for eight years with Fundamental Transformation!  What else do they want to change?  Higher taxes, even less economic growth, more disastrous foreign policy/wars, no borders, and even more illegals and refugees?  Or are the worried about LGBT, war on women, racism, and all the other identity politics?  Morons.

Something about that phony, practiced smile of hers creeped me out, but I couldn't put it into words.  When I mentioned it to my wife, all she could do was make fun of Trumps facial expressions.  I couldn't really argue because he does make some weird faces.  But for some reason Hillary's smile gives me the chills.  And I can't say I have heard any reporters talk about it, but I'm glad I'm not alone.

As Hillary said last night, because of the resistance of the Republicans, Obama couldn't do all he wanted to.  She wants to double down on his wealth redistribution and Federal spending projects.

In addition, Hillary's view is that GOVERNMENT grants us rights, and we as humans do not have Natural Rights.  She respects the 2A as a GOVERNMENT RIGHT, not an individual right, and that will be her first order of business when she appoints another Kagan, Ginsberg, or Sotomayor to the SCOTUS.

What makes you think that? The polls are basically tied up, with a lot of state polling showing Hillary in the lead even in some traditionally solid red states. That being said, I do think there's a lot of bias in the polling and don't necessarily find them all accurate.

You're not alone. It is hideous, and more fake than a Halloween costume.

I was disappointed that Chris Wallace didn't insist on an answer on the INDIVIDUAL RKBA that is the Foundation of Heller.

Everyone seems to be falling all over themselves congratulating Wallace, but in addition to the above, I was pissed about the following:

1.  Never challenging Hillary's multiple claims that Trump's plan would cost $20 TRILLION, while not challenger her own claim that her plan would not add a dime to the national debt.
2.  This question about Trump not accepting the result of the election is a canard and a farce, and once again inserts the moderator into creating the talking points that follow. This was no different than George Stephanopoulos questioning Romney about a 1965 court ruling on contraception, which resulted in the left's creation of Romney's "war on women."
3.  I haven't seen the stats but it sure seemed like he let Hillary babble on longer than Trump, with fewer interruptions.

Is she using the same government speak as when they say they are cutting spending, but they really mean they are reducing the rate of increase in spending?

Or did she mean that rather than adding one cent, she will be adding some other amount, like a Billion or Trillion or . . .

Trump has a bigger problem than losing the election. When he is done, he has to go back and run a business with the Trump name hung around his neck. That's some severe negative brand equity.

At this point the best thing he could do is salvage some of his good name and pull out of the race - annouce that he will not take office if elected and that the 20th Amendment would place Gov Pence in his place. It might be the only thing left that can prevent a Hillary win. But he is caught up in the hubris of running for the office and his ego causes him to cling to the desperate fantasy that there are hidden voters out there who will magically deliver him. I will be amazed if it happens.

If only we had known when he was running for the nomination that he was unelectable...Oh, wait...

What happened to "Any publicity is good publicity"?

I know, I know,
it only works for entertainers,
but Trump is an entertainer.      Even if he loses, he will probably make much more money than if he never ran.  He will probably even garner some big speaker fees to talk about how corrupt politics is.
