Well De Blasio, (Warren Whilhelm) and the rest of the bed wetting Democrats are using this crisis purposefully to create the worst economy and situation the American public has seen since the Great Depression.  They are largely backed by the Medical Community who loves to preach Doom and Gloom and have themselves look to be the answer.

Here is what a Medical Professional also in the Aviation Community posted on another web forum.  You can clearly see the pessimistic, destructive attitude even from "one of our own".

Yeah, Joe and Mary Public are so dumb they are going to hide under their beds for an unlimited and open ended amount of time instead of LIVING THEIR LIVES.
When was the last time you got an Ebola, SARS, or HIV/Aides?

We may NEVER get a vaccine for Covid-19. THEN WHAT will that doc and his Joe and Mary Public patients do?

This is why you CANNOT turn society over to doctors, scientists, or educators. Their field of vision is way too narrow.

Well you can't accuse her of being one of my ex wives.
How do we know, FILO?

Another clear example of how tone/intent of a text post can be misunderstood.
Yea. If only someone could use images such as this to suggest the proper tone/intent of a post.

Oh wait...

I’m so tired of snowflakes.

This is fact, and undisputed.

For years talk show host such as Oprah and David Letterman use to love having Trump on their program.   Al Sharpton and  Jesse Jackson praised Donald Trump, as well as many black politicians and leaders.   And even many democrats all praised Trump.

Then he announced he would run for President..................
..........AS A REPUBLICAN.

That is the key. If he ran as a moderate NYC democrat, he would be God’s gift to the democrats.

I do.  I am very much an asshole who slings insults when my irish is up.  Probably because I'm irish and because I've been increasingly frustrated with work lately.

You want liberals to be here to have a rational discussion then you have to keep it rational and not go into personal insults.  You also need to check facts and acknowledge then they're right on fact, but why they might be wrong on logic.  If you do, you'll frequently find that the difference is in values and objectives.

For example, Obamacare was a resounding success for liberals because their goal had nothing to do with money or affordable care, it had to do with universal care.  So they gave us an abomination that raised prices for everyone and made medical care overall worse.  But they accomplished their goal, they just lied to us about what their goal was.

BTW, other than one individual, I named no names.  If others want to identify themselves with my description, I cannot stop them.
Please let me know when a liberal posts facts that we can fact check. This is not hyperbole.  Much much more often than not most liberals with which I enter into a debate are incapable of backing up THEIR hyperbolic statements with any facts whatsoever.

For example:

“Trump is racist!”  How?  Have any proof?  Silence.

“Trump is homophobic!”  Same

“Conservatives hate women’s rights!”  Same

“Republicans are anti-science and deny climate change!”  Says the party that can’t acknowledge that a human growing inside another human is, in fact and in science, a human being.

Etc.
Etc.
Etc.

I hear what you are saying, but after all the extremely petty, but also destructive things the Democrats and the Media did and do to Trump, I don't have a problem with it.  I mean 3 1/2 years of the Dem/Media RUSSIA LIE, then the sham Impeachment, I think it is fine that Trump kind of sticks it to them over his name on a check.  So what?  What does that really do?

My focus is on all the positives, and there are many Trump has done, and all the underhanded, destructive things Pelosi and the Democrats are doing.  Priorities, man priorities.  Name on check that the government is handing out.  Meh.
Agreed.  Troll level:  Master

Does the Purple Board have a Politics section?   I have been on there, but participate very, very little.

General question.  I don't use Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat or anything else like that.  Has Facebook replaced discussion formers for various topics.  I used to do a good amount of off roading with my Jeep when I lived in Colorado, and the off roading web board I used was decimated after people started using Facebook.  It effectively killed it.
To answer your question, I think FB has filled a role for such things. For example, some of the aviation groups I’m on include:

-The Aviator’s Lounge
-Pilots who aren’t offended by everything group (Very funny; the more offensive the better - they try to bait the snowflakes)
-Taildragger Pilots United
-EAA
-Wisconsin Flying
-Fighter Pilot Robin Olds
-Flightline Ops (where I volunteer at EAA)
-NATA (North American Trainers Assoc)
-Uncontrolled Airspace
-Navion and L-17 Flyers
-Fly Wisconsin
-WWII Air War Over Europe
-Hangar Talk
-B-25 Mitchell Bombers Fans
-Wisconsin Pilots
-IV Navion Club
-Chicago Executive Pilots Association
-Aviators fun!  No winds allowed
-Fans of the Strategic Air Command SAC
-Antique Aircraft Parts Exchange
-Warbird Information Exchange (WIX)
-Aircraft for Sale or about
-T-6 Thunder
-Oshkosh North 40
-L-17.ORG:  Preserving Navion Military Heritage
-Friends of Vlado Lenoch
-de Havilland Chipmunk Appreciation Society
-EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2020
-Round Engine Forever
-Navion Aircraft Parts, Projects & Classified
-BT-13/15/SNV - Vultee Valiant - WWII Trainer Group
-Banned AOPA Members
-Fans of 12 O’Clock High
-Warbird Owners and Operators
-Taildragger Pilots Association

Before you tell me too get a life (lol), these aren’t places to hang out and have robust discussions. People post shit, you look at it, maybe comment, and move on. I’m in a handful of political sites too, but again, you’re in and you’re out.

I'm seeing a lot of familiar names over at Brian's "The Pilot's Place".  Wondering if we are becoming obsolete here and if it will end up just being me, Stan, and Lucifer?  Is there no longer a point to this little experiment?
Rush and Becky can stay. The rest of you assholes just fuck off.

Good to know. I think part of my preflight will be to ensure my female passengers have tight form fitting clothing in case quick egress is necessary.

There are still canned goods with no pull tabs, and there are still bottles that require a bottle opener which don't have screw off bottle caps.

We're about the same age, you may even be older than me and I remember when hardware stores gave out free yardsticks.  Why?  It was good advertising for them.

Ever hear of redundancy?  Why does your airplane have two magnetos, a vacuum system and an electrical system?  I always have a compass and map with me on the road or in the air in case the GPS system goes down.  I've had electrical failures in the plane where all I had was a chart, magnetic compass and watch to navigate.  Also, when out in the woods I navigate strictly my map and compass.  Am I a "Luddite"?
You obviously don’t fly a fancy Mooney, so yes.

Yeah, more important to make money even if it kills people.  Conservative mantra right there.
10 million people filed for unemployment benefits in the last two weeks, you heartless fucking cunt. Yea, for some people, making money is more important.

Grow the fuck up.

You just don't get it.
I for one am extremely disappointed when I hear a broadcast that is "slanted right".  I want the truth.

But I am much more often disappointed when listening to MSM broadcasts and continually hear falsehoods and opinions presented as "news".

And I don't think I am the only one.

Have YOU ever felt let down when you hear one of your preferred outlets present falsehoods or negative spin?
Conservatives really need to stop playing libs little fucking reindeer games.

Lib:  You’re stupid.
Non lib:  No I’m not.

Lib:  You’re racist.
Non lib:  I’m not racist. I have black friends.

Lib:  You are anti-science.
Non lib:  I am pro-science. I just don’t trust the politicians.

Lib:  You don’t want facts. You watch Fox, so you want single party rule.
Non lib:  I gave up cable. I rarely watch Fox.

Notice a pattern?  Do we always have to take first strike?  Do we always have to argue against their premises?  I for one am tired of being on the defensive because of the unbelievable shit spewed by liberals.  Steingar pulls this shit and I won’t play. He’s a fucking petulant child and every time you argue with a child the adult loses.
