Comedy Gold. If only democrat voters were presented with Schumer’s bombastic remarks from 2013, they would see they were backing the party bent on lying and manipulating voters. Instead, you won’t find this clip anywhere near their favorite viewing sites. What a shame.

Freaking hypocrites. AND their useful idiot followers.

Can't say how much I enjoyed watching the Dem's fold like a cheap suit for once....truly cathartic, unexpected and highly entertaining.
Funny how quick Schumer gave up once even the radical alt-Left government media complex had no choice but to blame HIM.
It was beautiful.

Keeps reminding me of the old Roadrunner cartoons.
And the dems are Wyle E. Coyote.

I think the Dems got played by the master deal maker. I mean, you aren't going to believe the deals that he is going to make.
The Republicans now put together a bill that is everything they want...full funding for the wall, a requirement to check status for every person arrested, a standard for how long a local force must hold a person before releasing them, penalties for non-compliance, increases to border security, etc. etc. etc. Then they attach everything the Dems want and watch their heads explode when they cannot take Yes for an answer.
Yes, Chuckie got played.

It's been a long time since I saw it, so I won't get the quote right but there was an article back in grad school I read in the WSJ, and the guy being interviewed was some Euro/Brit bond trader, back in the big bond bonanza(no, I didn't mean to alliterate). Anyway, he was recovering from having has ass handed to him by Trump and it was something like; "Playing brinkmanship with Trump is like Russian Roulette with a full gun". Or maybe; "Going toe-to-toe with Trump is like Russian Roulette with an automatic". Something pithy, and it stuck with me.
So many people dismissed him back in early 2016 when he got started on this process. The guy is a freight train when he sets his sights. I don't think he's going to get a completely full plate from the Rep in the house, but he's surely put them on notice that he - will - not - be - fucked - with. It's a whole lot of cliches roped into one message. Get on board, or get run over. Part of the solution, or part of the problem. Lead, follow or get out of the way. etc.

Trump is a DOER. Chuckie, and the rest of the pols are TALKERS. Yes, Chuckie got out maneuvered. I wish Trump had a bigger majority in the Senate, and fewer back stabbers like McCain, and Graham.

How so?
What's changed from a week ago?
We now have another CR, no real budget in sight, just a new deadline three weeks from now.
CHIP got funded, something Congress should have done months ago.
The Dems got some vague assurances that there will be some kind of DACA/immigration discussion.
Can't say much has changed although getting CHIP funded was important. The Dems still have leverage in the Senate. What is discouraging is that there is widespread support for solving the DACA issue, reforming immigration and moving on. Yet both sides seem unwilling do actually do so.
The "anti-incumbent" party is looking more and more attractive.

I believe the R's gave the D's everything they wanted in three different proposals, and still got no from them. The Dems wanted a government shut down so they could blame the Repubs. I think that backfired.

The dems have admitted the Schumer Shutdown was purely political and that their hope was getting the blame on Trump.
Like I said, it's the modern day version of the Roadrunner cartoons. Wyle E. Coyote is the dems and he keeps going to the ACME Dirty Tricks store hoping to do the Roadrunner (Trump) in.

Will agree that blame seems to be really important, there is enough of that to smear both sides. So what exactly did the Repubs offer that the Dems wanted? There certainly isn't a DACA solution. There is another CR (a lousy way to run a government). Mitch McConnel making some really fuzzy language on immigration reform. The only thing concrete was funding for CHIP.
This whole charade will be repeated in three weeks.

DACA is ILLEGAL.
It should not be extended, and none of those affected should be made citizens.
Repeat DACA is not legal and obama knew it when he signed the EO.
Democrats love to move the ball by ignoring inconvenient laws.

The Dems made unilateral demands for DACA. They got what they wanted without asking the price. They're going to say no and it is costing them big with their base. People are muttering about Schumer not being right for the job.
The deal maker has better leverage than he had before. Democrats are going to wind up abdicating the issue to Republicans to solve. If there is one thing that might bring Republicans together, it would be showing Democrats to be fools.
