Where I work, we used to have a really smart guy as a financial analyst. He saved our company tens of millions of dollars. (we weren't a billion dollar company yet). He found clauses in contracts that some of our vendors were actually embarrassed to have pointed out to them, and which they would remove.
HE was really smart, just like Cruz.
He was so smart that at one point, he was offered the CFO job, but he turned it down because he knew he wouldn't be able to deal with the responsibilities as well as he could deal with the numbers and the contracts. So he turned it down.
In that regard, he was smarter than Cruz. He knew that he was good a finding problems. But he wasn't so good at working with other people.
I just don't think Cruz would be effective as President. I think he would melt down faster than a snowflake in summer.
Trump has thin skin too. But I still think he is more suited for the job than Cruz. I even think Hillary or Bernie would be more psychologically suited for the job than Cruz. I just think they would be great at destroying us, rather than themselves.

Trump could also be a megalomaniacal tyrant with a narcissistic personality disorder worse than our current POTUS. He has shown every proclivity for being precisely that.
The fact is that no one ever has sufficient on-the-job training to be POTUS on January 20th. We always take a flyer on that, and have for over 200 years. However, absent actual experience as POTUS, I'll take someone who has proven principles as a Constitutional conservative. For me, that's Ted Cruz.

Likewise, if it comes down to Cruz and (Hillary or Bernie), I will do all I can to help Cruz. I'd rather have a poor leader with good ideas than a good or bad leader with bad ideas.

Same here. I want to see the WH go back to the Republicans in November and will vote for the nominee. The RINO's want to play political games and talk about backing Hillary, which is an absolute no way in my book.

I would argue that he is already megalomaniacal and likely narcissistic (there's a fine line between confidence and arrogance).

As is usual, nobody is talking about the two lost idiots on the democrat side. In stead all the discussion is centered on attacking republicans, and ignoring the criminal and the communist.
