Title: Juneteenth
Post by: President-Elect Bob Noel on June 19, 2020, 09:47:25 AM
Let's not diminish the significance of 19 June as the end of slavery in the US.

I know there are many who will roll their eyes at Juneteenth and many who will try to abuse the day.

 Was a great day.

Let's also not forget it was the republicans who pushed the 13th, 14th and 15th amendments to the constitution while the democrats fought against them.   Let's not diminish the significance of the republicans to fight for civil rights while the democrats fought against them.

Let's also not forget the democrats creating and funding the KKK and introducing Jim Crow laws to suppress the blacks.

Yes.  I neglected to say that many people in the North paid a high price in the Civil War

Why the f*ck now, 157 years later all of a sudden do we need to feel GUILTY about not celebrating June 19th.  Eff that.  I'm going to the range.

Milwaukee was one of the first northern cities to celebrate Juneteenth, and it is actively celebrating and encouraging it this week.

Meanwhile every Memorial Day, Independence Day, Festival, and Summerfest has been canceled.

This is a MARXIST PURGE of all things TRADITIONALLY American with the substitution and replacement with everything that is PC, WOKE, SJW, Progressive.  It is the Fundamental Transformation Obama promised.

And almost every year those celebrating it choose to dignify the sacrifice of those before them by killing each other.

Exactly. I never heard of it until I moved here. Then among all the wonderful summer festivals:  Polish Fest, Irish Fest, Bastille Days, Summerfest, German Fest, etc, in comes Juneteenth which becomes violent year after year.

But it wasn't the day of the end of slavery.  It's just the day that the proclamation was read in Texas.

Not saying this is happening to me, but I sense that all these accusations that entire White America is Racist and the calls for apologies and acts of penance like the Chik Fil A CEO are calling for is creating a resentment and potential backlash.  It is doing just the opposite that some want it to do.  America is NOT a Racist nation and there is no such thing a "Systemic Racism".  Do NOT tell me I am something I am not.

You only think its doing the opposite of what they want it to because you're assuming their intentions are influenced by goodness.

Sure did.  Especially the rich.  It cost them plenty to pay a poor person to go to battle in place of their rich sons.

Isn't that sort of like blaming white people today for the brutality of the slave owners of yesterday?  Unless you can point to a modern day democrat that participated in any of those activities, that argument is invalid.  Instead, we can blame today's Democrats for violating Einstein's assertion that insanity is doing the same thing and expecting a different result.  Socialism has never worked yet they want to do it again.

I fully agree with most of your quote, but my qualification depends on how you define the word "systemic".  Racism most certainly still does exist.  It is on the wane and these riots are reversing that trend, but racism does still exist.  But as has been said earlier in a different thread, the calling of everything racist cheapens the word.

And Blacks are some of the most RACIST people in the U.S.  Many vote and live their lives based solely on skin color.  Also, there is HUGE racism WITHIN the Black community between Lighter skinned Blacks and Darker skinned Blacks.  So yes, Racism does still exist, but not where you mainly think it exists.

Black men are killing each other at epidemic proportions, but where does the Media and Democrats focus?  The NINE police shootings that happened last year, not the thousands of Black on Black murders.  This entire America is racist narrative is just another Leftist SHAM.

Bill Clinton.   Bill Clinton"s "mentor" was James William Fullbright (D), Senator.  He was a segregationist who signed the Southern Manifesto.  Fullbright served in the senate until 1974.

Robert Byrd (D) WV Senator.  Served in the senate until 2010.  Segregationist, member of the KKK, fought against Civil Rights.  Yet he is highly revered by the democrat party even today.  No one will speak against him or his memory.  Over 30 buildings and roads named in his honor, as well as several statues.

Senator Al Gore Sr. (D).  Father of former VP Al Gore Jr (D).   Senior was a segregationist who fought against Civil Rights.  Several Buildings and roads named in his honor.

Joseph Biden (D)  Former VP, now candidate for President.   Biden has a spotty history as a democrat who was known to congregate in his days in the senate with other segregationist.   Biden has made inflammatory remarks throughout his career in regards to race.

Hillary Clinton (D) Former First Lady, Senator and Sec of State, Twice Failed Presidential candidate.   Hillary has a history of racism going back to he days as First Lady of Arkansas.  https://www.breitbart.com/politics/2016/06/09/hillary-clinton-racist-top-5/

Also, https://www.conservapedia.com/Bill_and_Hillary_Clinton_and_racism.    As you can see, there is a lot of territory to cover with her.

I could go on and on here with other prominent democrats, a little research it's easy to find their true colors.

Trying to ignore the blatant racism of the democrats is disingenuous at best.  They openly practice it then point their fingers at conservatives and yell "racist!"

Chicago has murders of blacks EVERY SINGLE WEEK,  yet the media and their masters never mention it.   Why?   Because it's black on black violence.

Black cops shoot whites, but that is ignored.  Doesn't fit the narrative.

The chart won't translate but the above 2018 FBI statistics show 2,925 Black murders (race of victim) of which 2,600 were committed by other BLACKS (race of offender).
