My understanding is that a lot of Trump endorsed candidates are beating the RINOs in primaries. That would be reason for the Dems to worry. It’s more than just ghosts, MAGA is still alive.

You’re missing my point. Democrat candidates, local, state and fed, literally have nothing to run on. Public opinion is against them on virtually everything. So how do they campaign? Create a straw man or a ghost, and try to beat it to death and play the fear porn card.

No, I think I exactly got your point. If you’re saying that the straw man to fear is the ghost of Donald Trump, I’m saying it’s not a ghost, it’s alive and well.
Unless you mean that the fact that Trump is to be feared is a straw man, then yes of course. Not only should it not be feared, Trump policies will save the U.S.

These people truly believe Trump and all his followers are Hitler or worse, and that gives them carte blanche to do ANYTHING to keep us from winning another election.
But if we also believe they are the evil fascists, what is the difference? I'll tell you what the difference is: We are promoting rule of the Constitution, and policies of deregulating the economy, which is pro-freedom. They are promoting centralized authority and rule by mandate, and destruction of the economy via their policies, very anti-freedom.
Their argument about the right to kill unborn babies is all they have for pro individual freedom anymore.
However, if the Republicans regain power, and stay in power, they too will inevitably become authoritarian. I've come to believe all political parties inevitably devolve away from the common man and individual freedom. That's why it's so important to prevent a single party system.

Where the CCP has to thread the needle is not to allow the Biden Regime to totally collapse the US economy. China needs the US, they need our buying power and they need our technology. Take away any of those three, and China collapses.
