(in the 31 Jan 2022 Boston Herald)
"Cape Cod seals that are under constant threat from great white sharks during the summer and fall are likely very stressed out, according to new research. Shark scientists have discovered that stress levels in seals have significantly dropped following the loss of great white sharks off of South Africa’s False Bay."
Who would have thought the presence of predators would increase stress and the absence of predators would result in lower stress?

That sounds like a solid $18.3 Billion study to me, funded by FedGov of course.

Kind of like the absence of government agents reduces my stress.

These people are morons.

This is what comes of “everyone needs a college degree”. People with worthless liberal arts degrees in “environmental management” or whatever the hell these researchers had, who do not actually produce anything, need to make money somehow. So we make taxpayers fund their useless projects.
