Gen Clark.  A Democrat who ran for the DNC presidential nomination.   Very impartial source.

I loved the bit about taking out 7 countries (Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, and Iran).

But all in all, not a wacky as the doormat's "vast right-wing conspiracy"

I'm going to go out on a limb here, and I"m not saying this would have been a good idea, but what would the world look like if we had followed up on Syria, Lebanon, LIbya, Somalia, Sudan and Iran?

We should have left anyone alone that did not have a hand in 9/11.  But once we went in, "In for a Penney, In for a Pound" might apply.  Half measures don't usually work.

I've seen information indicating this was the agenda prior to 9/11. Being generous, I'd say that it was opportunistic serendipity, much like the General stated.
