Title: The latest COVID entitlement, rent strike!

https://www.usatoday.com/story/money/2020/03/30/coronavirus-rent-strike-advocates-major-cities-demand-waiver/5088716002/

"New York, Boston, Los Angeles, San Francisco and St. Louis are among many cities that have temporarily banned evictions, but advocates for the strike are demanding that rent payments be waived, not delayed, for those in need during the crisis."

"For me personally, with everyone losing their jobs and unable to pay, it's really the only thing we can do," Kofron said of the strike. "It's just like we the people have to do something. We just can't stand idly by while the system takes us for a ride."

Listen up, you signed the contract, not me. You're not being taken for a ride, just being asked to pay what is rightfully owed. The sense of entitlement in the US is just boggling. So, because you don't have the foresight and/or fortitude to maintain a rainy day fund, you expect others to use THEIR rainy day fund to keep you in shelter?

Another sign that the US is doomed. Everyone is entitled to everything, and the "rich" will pay for it all.

EDIT: Oh, and by the way Einstein, what happens when your landlord can't pay his note on the place? You end up out in the street none the same, except you just take more people down with you.

Now the Whole Foods employees want "Hazard Pay" or they will go on strike.  Thankfully I don't shop there.  I'd rather not have my food touched by druggies with dreds, tattoos, man buns, and bad attitudes.

Quote
Some Whole Foods workers are planning a "sick out" strike Tuesday to demand better conditions during the coronavirus crisis.

This will be the first time employees have staged a strike of this scale in 39 years, since the supermarket chain opened.

Workers are protesting what they claim to be a lack of protections, with demands that include getting double pay for the hazards of working during the outbreak.

Whole Foods says it has already increased pay by $2 an hour, offered two weeks of paid leave for workers who test positive for COVID-19 and stated workers who call out sick will not be penalized. The company also says its stores are continuing to roll out new safety protocols to protect employees who are on the frontlines serving customers. That includes deep cleaning and crowd control measures, in addition to limiting how many customers can go inside stores at a given time.

Whole Foods released the following statement:

"As we address unprecedented demand and fulfill a critical need in our communities, Whole Foods Market is committed to prioritizing our Team Members' wellbeing, while recognizing their extraordinary dedication."

But employees say that's not sufficient. They also want free coronavirus testing as well as sick pay for workers who choose to self-quarantine or isolate instead of coming in to work.

Hey... give them a break.  They are just following the lead of their heros (pelosi and the rest of the moroons in the House).

In case I'm being too subtle, "the lead" that pelosi et al espouse  is to take advantage of any crisis to advance their own self-serving agenda.
