Title: Election stress disorder
Post by: President-Elect Bob Noel on October 28, 2020, 08:17:34 AM
The Tribune News Service has an article (28 Oct 2020) about "Is election stress disorder real"?

good grief.

but, let's for the sake of discussion say that such a thing is real...  Will the pukes that incite fear/panic/chaos ever acknowledge their role?

I don't know if I have ESD, but this election can't be over soon enough for me.

I've already voted, the election is over except for the counting.

What I've realized is the entire Democrat campaign strategy is centered around managing hate.

How Biden sold out the country is something to be minimized because they don't want reasons for anyone to hate Biden.

Meanwhile they'll make stuff up to make people hate Trump.

Their parents must be so proud of how their skills are being used.

They don't want to see anything they could possibly agree with from you.  It destroys their Progressive, Tooth Fairy, Fantasy World.  That's where they live, in the Big Government must fix everything Fantasy World.

Years ago she was a Conservative, I know her Dad is. She's a great single mother that raised an incredible daughter. I just don't get it sometimes.

I don't get it either.  Otherwise, intelligent, good people that have allowed the Media, Democrats, Entertainment, Education, Tech, etc just absolutely brainwash them.  They don't seem to care about Rights and Freedoms and think they can never be taken away.  Well look at what governments did with the Virus and Tech did to Free Speech, etc.

It’s all about control. “Ascribe motives to others that you cannot see but suspect.”

Everything is politicized, even sexuality. If you’re uncomfortable with any aspect of the current narrative (notice I didn’t say with the subject itself), you’re labeled a hater and silenced and beaten down. And the narrative is constantly changed to assure no complacency on your part!

I swear, when Clint Eastwood dies, the world will tilt on its axis and we’ll go sliding down into a morass of man buns and androgynousness.

Unless Trump is re-elected.  :)

We all saw just this moving of the goalposts at Barrett's confirmation hearings.  Barrett said that she would not discriminate on the basis of sexual preference.  Senator Hirono got all hyper saying that the term "sexual preference" was shameful, outdated, and offensive.  The MSM quickly followed with interviews with all sorts of people who were offended.  OK, so what do we say now?  Doesn't matter.  Whatever we say will be instantly outdated and something else will be the accepted term.  There is no way to please these people.

Really? Sexual preference? How on earth do they twist that to be offensive?

Wait a week and it will change.  But in the meantime, from the GLAAD media guide:
Quote
Offensive: "sexual preference"
Preferred: "sexual orientation" or "orientation"
The term "sexual preference" is typically used to suggest that being lesbian, gay or bisexual is a choice and therefore can and should be "cured." Sexual orientation is the accurate description of an individual's enduring physical, romantic and/or emotional attraction to members of the same and/or opposite sex and is inclusive of lesbians, gay men, bisexuals, as well as straight men and women

That’s bullshit. It’s been shown that your like or dislike of cilantro is genetic. I can “prefer” not to eat cilantro and it’s not a choice, I was born that way.  They’re playing with language for the purpose of using speech against people. To call them racist or sexist or whatever the word is for this, sexualorientationist I suppose.

Perfect example!

I’m reading “The Madness of Crowds” by Douglas Wilson, a gay man. He says the holy grail has not been found ... there is no “gay gene.” He also sees nothing wrong with people being all over the place on causes of homosexual attraction and even a person deciding they’re not gay and going straight and marrying and having a family. It happens. To most of us, that’s fine, whatever. But to the gay community it implies that there is a choice, and they can’t abide that.

I desperately hope we are about to turn this insanity around. It’ll be a big battle though.

For the record I don't care who sleeps with who, or who wants to have sex with who or whatever.   I don't care what or who someone wants to marry.  Marriage is just a ceremonial event and a way for the state to collect revenue.

The problem becomes when these people demand special privileges because of their choice or orientation.

No there is no gay gene as far as I know but I believe that often (not always) your sexuality is set in stone at birth or in very early childhood. Maybe it has to do with the hormone environment within the womb. Gay people marrying and having a family used to happen all the time and in fact was the norm prior to Stonewall. You could lose your job for being gay. You could be caught up in the red scare, because if you are homosexual you must be a communist.

But to say it’s never a choice is as wrong as to say it is always a choice. The husbands of the tiger king were actually straight as it turned out, but they chose to be gay for him for whatever reason and presumably had no problem “performing” just like gays who marry straight as a cover have zero problem sexing their opposite gender spouse.

Ugh. What a bitch.

And no, there is no “right” to marry. Where does it say in the constitution anybody has a right to marry, gay or straight?

otoh - the US Constitution is supposed to affirm our inherent rights.  It doesn't grant rights.

wow - thread drift...anyway, I've always disagreed that the whole gay marriage thing was about equal protection.  Any man is able to marry any (willing) women.  There isn't a test if the guy is homosexual or heterosexual.  There is no violation of equal protection.

In fact it's quite the opposite.  The Constitution says we have the "right" to pursue happiness.  That means we have the right to NOT get married.

When she first got to Washington, she was complaining that she couldn't afford an apartment there.

Now, she is wearing a $14,000 dress on the cover of a magazine.

And her shoes (not visible) are also outrageously expensive.

She did say, yes, that “my people and my community” call her AOC and that’s fine. But Trump, or any conservatives I presume, may not, because it is “demeaning.”

Again, how is Trump creating division here?? Party of tolerance my ass.
