If it reduces the number of people texting while driving, walking, watching a movie, etc., I say make it nationwide.  I rarely text.

Yes it’s on purpose.  I understand what the term “citizen journalist” is supposed to mean just as I do the term “citizen soldier” or when a cop refers to a non cop as a citizen.  I just have always thought using the word citizen in that manner was odd even though it’s widely accepted.

Plus I thought the recent Khashoggi controversy and debates about his citizenship was a funny tie in.  My mind frequently functions in a warped, distorted, or perverse manner.  I like to think of myself as a citizen satirist. 

Aren’t most of our journalists citizens?  Well except for that dead Saudi dude.  Though he was a Saudi citizen so I guess he was a citizen, just not here.   

Biscuits are just a chemically leavened pastry that are quick and really facile to put together.  Takes me about an hour, form start to biscuits and cleaning are both done .  Bagels are bread, they take lots of time and quite a bit of know how.  I said it was standard bread making, but that encompasses quite a bit.

I was watching one of my favorite programs, the Great British Baking Show.  One of the contestants, clearly a very accomplished baker, really didn't know how to make bread.  Needless to say he got bumped off on bread day.

I like biscuits but I also really like a good bread. Most bagels are not good bread. 

Is Tom D the same person as Tom Downey of the AOPA board?

Very likely. 

I have no real knowledge of Shepherd’s career, military or otherwise, but many of his stories definitely seem less than truthful to say the least.

As to Tom D, all I will say is that he gives out a lot of bad advice on maintenance issues and on the regs.  Unfortunately many listen to him. He seems to have a following.

I haven’t really noticed any huge issues with Zeldman though some of his stories have seemed a bit far fetched though not outside the realm of possibility.  At least the ones I’ve read. 

Flying Ron is another teller of tall tales.  He seems to be an expert on everything. 

There are others as well who seem really full of themselves.

Where do you fly from?  Coming to Greenville SC on the 15th?

I’m out of 14A Lake Norman.  I am currently planning on being there.  I was there last year.  The southeast gang is a bunch of good folks.
