What a joke.
brett baier will 'host' the gop speaker debate.
Why isn't rachel maddow the host? Or any one of the other hard left wing bloviators...
The article referenced has a broken link/ Once it is fixed, and I see it, I will post it.
Fox News will exclusively host and televise the upcoming debate for the House speakership, now that the gavel is up for grabs after Representative Kevin McCarthy was ousted in a historic Tuesday vote. Bret Baier will moderate the debate between House Majority Leader Steve Scalise of Louisiana, Judiciary Committee chairman Jim Jordan of Ohio, and Representative Kevin Hern of Oklahoma on Monday in the Capitol, Punchbowl News first reported. The debate will not be open press, the publication said, which means reporters other than Baier will be barred from the room.

Why should they debate? Who are they trying to convince? Not the voters, they don't get to decide. Stupid.

The dog and pony show continues...

This is fuckwad Paul Ryan behind this. If these guys running for speaker are smart, they would stay away from this. It's an ambush.

Fox News’ planned televised event for the House GOP speaker contenders appears to suddenly be down to zero participants.
Majority Leader Steve Scalise is not participating in the event, his spokesperson confirmed to POLITICO. And House Judiciary Chairman Jim Jordan said he wanted to meet with the GOP conference before a televised event, per his spokesperson — timing that is likely to be difficult with Tuesday’s packed schedule.
A third possible contender, Rep. Kevin Hern (R-Okla.), also announced Friday that he would not be participating.
“We need to make this decision as a conference, not on TV. The Republican conference needs a family discussion,” he said on X, formerly known as Twitter.
A spokesperson for Fox News didn’t respond to requests for comment on whether the joint interview was still happening. A person familiar with the process told POLITICO the Fox News event is no longer happening.
