Spin Zone / My Immigrant Encouter

Wife and I went to a Mexican place for dinner last night. Our server is an immigrant from Venezuela, not sure I ever got his name. He was very pleasant. His English is adequate to wait tables, but not for conversation. He has been here for seven months, we did not discuss how he got here, that conversation would have been hard. He is working on learning English. When question about the politics in his home country, he felt things really went downhill once Maduro took over. He's certainly glad to be here and have the opportunity he has here.

A little story from yesterday.....
My wife and I go out for breakfast on Fridays. We rotate between a couple of local restaurants. We're sitting at our table and young man gets set at the table next to us. He asks us what's good as he's never been there before. We gave him a couple of ideas and he ordered his breakfast. We ended up chatting and he told us a story of his work place. He is the Maintenance Manager at a distribution warehouse. Talked about three ladies that work, one Jewish and two Seventh day Adventists. They had been told they had to work on a Saturday for mandatory overtime. They were distraught and had volunteered to work Sunday instead but told it had to be Saturday. Jamie went to their work area and noticed one of them was extremely upset. He learned about their issue while talking with them. Jamie ended up going to the General Manager and having a conversation with him. He explained that they had to put up with having gender neutral bathroom and attending a Pride Month event, the least he could do is accommodate these three ladies. He stood up for them and in the end they are being allowed to work on Sunday.
Jamie is a strong Conservative whose parents immigrated to the U.S. from Columbia when he was six. He was raised as a Conservative and has a seven year old son. I asked him if his son had been asked to pick pronouns yet. He said no and if he was he'd pull him from school.
Nice to meet folks like Jamie.

It does appear that the DOJ is hell bent on indicting Trump in an attempt to keep him off the ballot. How many days or weeks do you think it will be before it drops?

I bookmark things in Twitter to watch at a later date. As you might imagine, the majority are of a conservative matter. Every time i watch a Twitter video, after a short time it dumps out and I have to start it again anf find where I was. I'm curious if any of you that are on Twitter experience similar happening. Feinstein fighting shingles. McConnell fell broke ribs and suffered a concussion and is supposedly not recovering well and may have to resign and now Blumenthal has broken his leg and will be out for a bit.
