Spin Zone / WashPo: Trump must be impeached
« on: May 15, 2017, 07:29:20 AM »
Spinning up impeachment talk, the new wet dream of the progressives.  Apparently they don't need to know how the impeachment process actually works.

Also, in this article the writer talks about the impeachment of Andrew Johnson and how Nixon avoided impeachment, but strangely ignores the impeachment of Bill Clinton.

The time has come for Congress to launch an impeachment investigation of President Trump for obstruction of justice.

The remedy of impeachment was designed to create a last-resort mechanism for preserving our constitutional system. It operates by removing executive-branch officials who have so abused power through what the framers called “high crimes and misdemeanors” that they cannot be trusted to continue in office.

"Obstruction of Justice"............now that's reaching.   And the clown that wrote this is a Harvard legal Professor and supposed "Constitutional Law Professor". (Wasn't that the same thing BHO claimed he was?)

In what some are now calling “Ice Cream-gate”, CNN’s coverage of Donald Trump’s interview with Time Magazine highlights an apparent “scoop”: the president is said to receive extra ice cream with his chocolate cream pie.

President Donald Trump abruptly fired FBI Director James Comey Tuesday, saying it was necessary to restore "public trust and confidence" in the nation's top law enforcement agency following several tumultuous months.

"The FBI is one of our nation's most cherished and respected institutions, and today will mark a new beginning for our crown jewel of law enforcement," Trump said in a statement.

The White House said the search for a new FBI director was beginning immediately.

Spin Zone / A fool's errand: Al Gore's $15 trillion carbon tax

More from OwlGore:

Quote
If you scroll through the verbiage surrounding the document, you will find the core policy recommendation is a massive, punishing carbon tax. Gore would start the tax at $50 per ton, which would increase to $100 per ton over time, essentially destroying the market for continued robust development of the world's fossil-fuel base. Our economic growth and personal well-being depends on robust fossil-fuel use, so Gore's plan would destroy these as well.

But, don't worry! The all-in estimated cost to re-engineer humanity is only a mere $15 trillion—enough money to give every man, woman, and child in the United States more than $46,000.

Yep, now the rising cost of Obamacare are the fault of Trump.............

And none other than the asshat Jonathan Gruber.  Remember him?  He was caught on tape saying “The stupidity of the American voter … was really critical for the thing to pass" with regards to Obamacare.

Quote
ObamaCare co-architect Jonathan Gruber -- who infamously said “the stupidity of the American voter” helped get the measure to become law -- now blames Trump for rising premium costs.

“Whose fault is this?” Gruber asked on “Fox News Sunday.” “Since President Trump has been elected … premiums are going up and insurers are exiting.”

Gruber, a Massachusetts Institute of Technology economics professor, argued that perceived rising premium costs are really a one-time increase in 2016 to cover “massively underpriced” policies for the first two years of the 2010 law.

How does one "consider" a "gay fling"???

And he considered a gay affair while at college where his mentor was an openly-homosexual professor who Obama called 'a wonderful guy'

Quote
President Obama considered pursuing a gay relationship while he was a college student.
Writing about the former president's two years at Occidental College in Los Angeles, Garrow discloses in Rising Star: The Making of Barack Obama the close relationship Obama had with assistant professor Lawrence Goldyn.
'Goldyn made a huge impact on Barry Obama,' Garrow writes. 'Almost a quarter century later, asked about his understanding of gay issues, Obama enthusiastically said, "my favorite professor my first year in college was one of the first openly gay people that I knew…He was a terrific guy." with whom Obama developed a 'friendship beyond the classroom.'

It was the winter of 1980 when Obama took a political science course at Occidental taught by the openly gay professor, a 1973 graduate of Reed College in Oregon with a PhD from Stanford.
To say that Goldyn was out 'would be an understatement,' a fellow student at the college told Garrow. Goldyn was 'funny, engaging' and 'wore these really right bright yellow pants and open-toed sandals.'
Goldyn was one of the first gay people that Obama knew and Obama said the 'strong friendship that developed helped to educate me.'
Goldyn would remember that Obama was not fearful of being associated with him.
Three years later, writes the author, 'Obama wrote somewhat elusively to his first intimate girlfriend that he had thought about and considered gayness but ultimately decided that a same-sex relationship would be less challenging and demanding than developing one with the opposite sex.'
To say that Goldyn was out 'would be an understatement,' a fellow student at the college tells Garrow. Goldyn was 'funny, engaging' and 'wore these really right bright yellow pants and open-toed sandals.'

As we have pointed out numerous times, there are plenty of other places you can go to engage in political discussion. Some people can participate in an adult manner, but when unmoderated, it gets taken over by trolls, bullies, and those who revel in throwing that political grenade. We decided, collectively, that we didn't want to support that kind of activity.
