Summary - cadets accused of cheating in an online exam, 55 have admitted it.
IMO, these cadets should not be expelled. Instead, they should be brought into the Army as an E-I-owe-you-1 and put to work crushing rocks, making cement, then breaking the cement into rocks. Rinse, wash and repeat. When their enlistment term is over, they can have a dishonorable discharge and go home.
Then when every class comes in, tell them this story and show them the pictures. Cheating is only a problem because the consequences are so low.
-
Those are only accusations of cheating. No real evidence.
It appears the academy was just sloppy in the way they handled the test.
-
55 have confessed they cheated. Their careers are over, they'll be expelled. They're getting off easy.

But the test were already graded and rewarded, the academy had no right to retract those scores. They just should have accepted them and moved on.
And the admissions were probably under pressure. Again, no real evidence of cheating. The academy just needs to move on.

Yeah. That dang bflynn just doesn’t get it that official sources have called this issue differently. He needs to realize that disputing is futile. More of that punishment rhetoric and he’ll be seeing funny things stuck to his engine block.

I get what you are meaning, and it is going over bflynn's head.
-
and yet, those 55 cadets have more honor and integrity that those running the elections... you know who you are...

Cute. But, the issue wasn't about the grade and there's no report that grades were assigned.
Here, they identified the rule breakers and then held them accountable. They had evidence that it happened, not merely an accusation.
I'm sure that difference goes over everyone's head.

There's no evidence presented, just an accusation and cadets being put under duress. Besides, out of thousands of cadets, and thousands of test given this is only a small amount. And it's probably due to the sloppy way the test was administered.
The academy should just move on.

If the academy can’t name names, and press charges, then there’s no proof that it happened and they need to move on.

It is racist to even discuss punishing those responsible when it was obviously morally correct to cheat...
That's what communists (democrats) believe, right?

They’ve been cheating so long and so deep that they now actually believe that is normal, legal and ethical for them to win by cheating. They are outraged if you suggest otherwise. They have a right to cheat and we are expected to shut up and accept it.
-
As expected, it did go over your heads.
The cadets were guilty, got caught, confessed and are being kind of punished. In the election, you only made it to the first step of that chain. If all the USMA had was cadets cheating, nothing would have happened there either.

It's you that can't seem to understand. You've posted allegations without any proof. The academy pressured the cadets to admit something they most likely didn't do, and was forced into a confession.
So no guilt here, none whatsoever. Why can't you just accept this and move on?
-

You see, now you're escalating to being an asshole. I thought we wanted to avoid that?
You're making accusations that the USMA pressured cadets into admitting something they didn't do, but once again you have no facts backing up your statements. I made statements of facts, but your ego and pride won't let you admit to being wrong.
I'm done, you are not worth the time.

I'm still waiting on you to provide any proof, which you cannot do. Can you provide any proof to disprove what I wrote?
You made no statement of facts, only baseless allegations that is damaging to the cadets.
You need to just let it go and move on.

The problem with you is your myopic expectation of an accepted double standard that you originally put in play.
Typical swamp dwellers behavior.
