Dick Cheney in heels has become delusional with the help of the establishment. The last great remaining hope is Trump gets convicted and is put in prison, or even worse he is disposed of and she gets the nomination. Even with the latter, it would become a brokered convention. The best the establishment could hope for is getting her on a VP slot if it's a brokered convention.
Look for the republican establishment to ramp up against Trump between now and the convention.

Exactly. She is staying in on the hope Trump gets bumped off or otherwise blocked from being president. Since DeSantis dropped out she would be the default nominee. If that happens I will NOT vote for her. I will write in Trump or sit out the election.

Just more evidence on how CORRUPT the GOP and politics in general is today. I know, it has always been corrupt. but maybe not this blatantly and out in the open. It's like they are purposely flaunting it in our faces to show how much power they have and that they are untouchable. That needs to change. They need to feel at risk if they do these things. I mean legally at risk of course.

When I listened to the recording, I was not surprised to hear the asshole say that some 'very powerful' people were against her running. That was the end of him, right there. fucking idiot.

This is correct. There is always corruption hence why we must remain vigilant and root it out when we find it. This requires the system to remain generally free, where the people have the power to hold government accountable through built in mechanisms such as the voting booth, and checks and balances. But when the system becomes too powerful it becomes impossible for these mechanisms to function. When the elite at the top become aware of this, they no longer fear the people, and because they are generally sadistic and psychopathic, they actually enjoy flaunting it in our faces, and destroying our lives and livelihoods in various ways.
The system becomes too powerful by:
* controlling the majority of the economy through taxes, spending programs, having a monopoly on the currency and a means of printing it without accountability
* employing millions of citizens into federal jobs with regulatory power but no accountability, attracting them with cushy benefits and ever growing their numbers
* infiltrating the voting systems so that mechanisms are in place to sway elections (such as hackable machines, and taking advantage of pandemic excuses to use mass mail in ballots)
* make sure a good half of the voting population doesn’t pay much if any taxes and then keep their vote by giving entitlements (welfare) and empty promises (payoff student loan debt)
* weaponize the federal justice agencies against its own citizens if they seem to resist the growing tyranny
* infiltrate educational institutions so the young are brought up thinking centralized power is a good thing
* gaslight the people with delusional assertions and then punish them for not espousing them (basic biology, ie 2 sexes, isn’t real)
* invent fake emergencies to terrify the people into complying with heavy taxes and regulations (“to save the planet from climate change”)
* infiltrate all news agencies and public platforms to monitor and censor speech, and shut down anything opposed to your regime
* use differential enforcement for all laws, letting the elite and compliant and wealthy get away with things while heavily punishing the poor, the common man, or anyone opposed to your regime
And last but not least:
* feel free to use Mafia tactics against any real threat to your power (assassination for example)

I EXPECT the fbi and cia to collaborate on and plan, the assassination of President Trump.
