As some Florida beaches reopened under social distancing guidelines, Miami Herald metro columnist Fabiola Santiago tweeted on Sunday that Florida residents packing beaches “should work nicely to thin the ranks” of supporters of President Donald Trump and Gov. Ron DeSantis.
Santiago tweeted that “packed beaches should work nicely to thin the ranks of Trump/DeSantis/Gimenez supporters in #Florida who value money over health.”

Reaction from Trump supporters was swift.
Donald Trump Jr. commented that Santiago’s “disgusting” remarks not only expose her own bias but “based on their hiring choices” likely tells readers “everything you need to know about the Miami Herald as well.”

Absolutely. I am still trying to understand why the higher risk people couldn't just stay at home and self quarantine, and the rest of us still function, with proper precautions when out and about.

This is what we should have done from the very beginning, it's becoming crystal clear. The consequences of this shutdown are becoming more catastrophic every day.

I was discussing the protests to open the company with cow-orkers today, and one very young engineer dismissed the protesters as "easily manipulated people of low intellect."
Nice, calling people who are losing everything "low intellect" because they want to save their way of life.

Younger people, both in school and universities have been indoctrinated into believing in Big Government and being unreasonably RISK AVERSE. Partly because women have taken over Education as well as the Teachers Unions. They are anti Capitalist (mean, greedy and unfair) and pro Socialism (good, nice, fair). >:(
They also don't deal as well with accountability nor responsibility. No, not all of them, but more than previously. Just my experience with younger employees, and talking to my more well seasoned colleagues. Well seasoned = OLD. :)
