WTF is that kind of question doing there? Sharia Law is unconstitutional, so that question should not appear and whomever is responsible for that be raked over the coals.

If it’s like the ballot in our primary, it’s an opinion poll. You’re not actually voting for anything. Is this something new? I don’t recall the voting booth being used for opinion surveys in the past.

I can’t imagine any real ballot have entries beginning with “Would you support....” So yeah, it’s an opinion poll.

The ones on the Democrat ballot were pretty radical if I recall. But so were some on the republican ballot and on both sides clearly appeared to be an effort to shape opinion, plant seeds of outrage, and otherwise manipulate us.

I looked for one with no luck. I am not registered in Barrow County so I only see my ballot when I go to the site it is on.

You better shred the absentee mailings, otherwise you might find you have voted Democrat come election day.
There is a huge possibility of voter fraud with what Georgia is doing.

Just looked through the constitution, and local and state laws. Can’t find where it even mentions sharia, or any other religious law, can hold preference.

Of course. But if sharia goes against us law (murder) then sharia can’t help you.

Not to replace US law, no. The Feds (and states) have shown that their law trumps religion by going after polygamists. On the other hand, the USSC has ruled 9-0 that states may not prohibit religiously mandated ritual slaughter of animals.

You can also include Indian laws and courts. But that was codified into US law. The Muslims want sharia courts, and their own laws.

I'm not really up on how someone could institute a religious legal system given the first amendment.
