Title: life insurance without aviation exclusions?
Post by: airguy on August 22, 2017, 12:13:50 PM
My work insurance brought in aviation exclusions to our life insurance policy that exludes anything other than as a passenger - obviously that doesn't work. I'm buying insurance now through AOPA but their rates seem a bit high at $2,160 annually for a million-dollar policy with zero aviation exclusions. What other vendors offer decent life insurance policies in the half-million and up range that would be competitive?

How old are you?

46, don't smoke, pretty good health otherwise. Mild blood pressure, under control. I don't see that this rate is reasonable other than the aviation exclusions not being there - I would have thought AOPA would do better than that.

I was gonna say, that rate doesn't look too bad at all. Then again, I'm a bit older and I have a "traditional" TL policy that goes up every year and it's only 250K.

I got a quote from PicLife that beat AOPA by 20%.
