Can someone explain how mail-in ballots were secure?  Were signatures verified?  or ?

of course, if the number of mail-in ballots was less than the margin of victory for <whoever>, then it doesn't matter whether or not the mail-in ballots were secure, does it...

you mean that wasn't true?

so a bunch liberals are up in arms about a for-profit urgent care facility opening just a block or two from an existing non-profit urgent care facility.

I'm confused as to why a for-profit facility would threaten a non-profit facility.

and, of course, we should believe all the gems flowing from Putin's mouth and his propaganda machine...

The certainty of one's beliefs and convictions is not measured by willingness to wager.

More of just thinking of alternatives.  Consider a surgeon that has a 99.99% success rate with heart surgeries.

The doc could be really really REALLY good, or very risk adverse, taking only patients that are very likely to be ok even if he screws up

um, a 99.9% conviction rate could mean that they are almost positive they got the right guy and let's marginal cases slide...

I'm hoping that a signle quick test positive is not used.

what's the false positve rate for the 15 minute quick test?

What's the false positive rate for the PCR test?

I don’t know what you mean by “tossed based upon her credibility”. The credibility of a witness is a matter for the jury at trial.

Witness credibility isn't solely for a jury to decide.

And no one has read the bill to see what's in it.  It's easy to say "killed the migrant bill" and let the unwashed masses add their own interpretation (or what they are told their interpretation is) to it.  But I have yet to see what the bill SAYS.  My feeling is that it's once again money to give everyone amnesty attached to billions for Ukraine, and maybe someday do something think about eventually studying how plan to develop an overall set of goals with the ultimate objective of maybe doing something to stop people coming in illegally.

“…higher greenhouse gas emissions…”

THAT’S what you’re worried about??

SMDH   Idiots.  That’s the least of our problems.  In fact it may not be a problem at all, as global warming and an increase in carbon dioxide actually improves conditions for plant (ie food) growth.  Anyway…

Surprisingly or maybe not surprisingly, China and the U.S. are aligned on this issue because we buy all the shit they make and they are a net importer of agricultural products, around a third of their food is imported according to my quick morning google-fu, and a majority of that is from the West i.e. U.S. and Canada’s vast grain fields.

Problems in the Suez Canal will badly hurt both our countries but China much more as they will literally starve while we will have hyperinflation due to rocketing fuel costs and supply chain disruption but we should be able to ramp up manufacturing to keep our harvesters running, while the Chinese will be scrambling to collect bugs to eat.

So maybe the U.S. and China need to jointly bomb Iran back into the Stone Age.

you are assuming that the mainland chinese government cares even one tiny bit about the population.

and I'm confident that various groups will try appeasement again and again and again...
