Went up to Wisconsin in the early 80's to watch Carlos wear out his ax (wait, that sounds almost perverted).  Believe the venue was Alpine Valley?????

Affirmative. I'd go up to Alpine Valley from Chicago when I was in high school for some awesome concerts. Plus, the drinking age was 18 back then.
