That judge is badass. He showed have put a stipulation in that any vet or service member who beat their asses over it gets immunity from prosecution.

I despise the stolen valor pukes.

They're spineless creeps. All glory no guts.
The military is not for everyone, and I have no problem if someone decided not to serve. But I do have a problem when sniveling assholes make claims to pump themselves up. Top of that list are the people that never served but claimed they did. Next in line are people that served, but embellish their service record.

I always tell people I served in the Vietnam Era and never say I served in Vietnam. It is a big distinction in my mind.

My Dad was a WWII veteran, and spent the entire war in DENTAL SCHOOL as an Army Private, as the school was taken over by the U.S. Army. Don't like it? You can withdrawal and report and be drafted. Upon graduation he became a Second Lieutenant then ended up in the Army of occupation in Germany 1945 - 1949, and was discharged as a Captain. He never called himself a WWII veteran even though he actually was.

Yes it is. My father served during the Korean War era, but fortunately he was assigned to Morocco.
I was after the VN era. My service was during the Iranian Crisis during the latter 70's.
Over on that other forum there are several fakers. We had one here but he's since stopped posting.

My dad was fluent in German and enlisted in the army requesting to be used as a translator or decoder or spy or something. They sent him to North Africa as a baker.

The Army is notorious for that kind of thing. What a waste. My Dad ended up in the town of Nuremberg at a little trial they were having there.
