It used to be called synchronized swimming, not it's called artistic swimming. And now men will be competing in the "sport" in the next year's summer olympics.

I wouldn't know. I won't ever know. I won't ever watch "artistic swimming", so I hwill never ave a way of assessing how boring. (but I admit that I can't imagine it being more boring than watching golf)

I hate synchronized swimming. My country club has a swim/synchro team for the kids. Almost all the girls 10 and under are on the synchro team. All they do in the pool is practice, even though practice is everyday before the pool opens to the members. It's annoying. Especially when it's slow and the lifeguards play their music to practice to, over and over and over. I really hate most things that are "artistic" to be honest.

I like to watch synchronized swimming, but it’s always been on TV and never in real life in an actual pool getting in my way or annoying me. I certainly oppose renaming it. Why the hell do we have to rename everything? What’s wrong with “synchronized”? That’s what it is.

I missed that video because I tend not to follow links that don't have any comment from the poster explaining why I should click on it.
But because you mentioned it, I did. I wish I didn't. I only watched a few seconds of it, and after exclaiming WTF is that, I stopped it. I'm going back to not clicking on links without some supporting reason.

I think that synchronized swimming without bathing suits would be fun to watch. Unless there's "men" on the team. EECH.
My niece was on a synchronized swim team. Really hard to see what was going on since very little was going on above the water. And it was all too far away. Now when synchronized goes full Ziegfeld, that might be fun.
