And electricity comes from the outlet.
And that really sucks too.  I am looking for a new house and the best ones I found were on streets that had big yellow signs that said "No OUTLET".  That wouldn't work for me because I am one of those pussies that want the fastest car I can buy and it is a Tesla.  But apparently, I wouldn't be able to plug it it in.

Spin Zone / Immigration.
« on: March 06, 2024, 07:31:05 AM »
We really need to fix our immigration system.  And I'm not just talking about securing the border and sending all illegals home, although that is step one.

But we need to make it easier for immigrants to come in legally.  And we need to be able to track them, put them to work, make them pay taxes and hold them accountable for their actions.

We need them.

I walk about 5 miles every morning.  There is a lot of growth and construction going on around here.  There are armies of guys with shovels laying fiber optic cable.  They are all hispanic.  There are huge McMansions going up in my neighborhood.  All the workers are hispanic.  I stopped to ask them a question and none of them could speak English.  But they were working really hard and doing a beautiful job.  A lot of docks on the intracoastal waterway have been decimated by the past several hurricanes.  There are many crews working on them.  They are all Hispanic.  Two houses on my block are getting new roofs.  Dozens of Hispanics with maybe one white guy as a supervisor.

And almost everyone I know that needs a repair man or contractor says they can't find one that can be booked for months or a year out.

When I go to restaurants it takes forever to be seated, even though there are obviously dozens of empty tables.  Not enough staff.  One restaurant owner told me he could hire as many as he needed, but they have to be able to speak English, thus not enough staff.

I wish we could trade our lazy free loading "natural born citizens"  in for hard working immigrants.  But they need to learn to speak the damn language.

I hate to get my hopes up, but dare I say things are looking up?

My opposition to Trump was only that I thought someone else would have a better shot at winning in November.  But that is irrelevant now.

Now is the time for all good men (and women) to come to the aid of their country, and support Trump.

Jews are leaving Biden because he is not helping Israel enough.
Arabs are leaving Biden because he IS help Israel too much.
Trump is picking up substantial support from blacks and Hispanics.

Also,
Rona Romney is stepping down.
Mitch is stepping down.
Nikki is now saying she will stay in the hunt until Super Tuesday, instead of till the end.
Koch's are moving support from Nikki to the Congressional races.
If we can just get one or two Senate seats we keep get the Senate
Hopefully we can hang onto the house.

With all of this, Trump not only looks to win, but he will be going in with his eyes open and hopefully fewer Rs seeking to undermine him, like last time.

Sans cheating, I am feeling optimistic. (uh oh. I probably shouldn't have said that).

I had to laugh at that.  My Dad had a coffee percolator in his shop.  He did NOT like it when someone cleaned it...
I learned to like coffee in my early teens.  My stepfather would take me on week long hunting trips with a bunch of his friends.

We started the week with a fresh percolator (it was a huge percolator) with fresh coffee.  Rather than clean it, each morning they added a couple for scoops of coffee.  By the end of the week the stuff was nasty, but I liked it.  Probably not for the taste but drinking it with all those macho men made me feel macho.  It also made me appreciate the good coffee my mother made. And when I say "good" I am talking about what Rush described. Pre-ground grocery store coffee.

By the way, that is also how I learned to like beer and liquor.  But I didn't get any of that from my mother when we went home.

I share very little personal information for good reason. People like you love to DOX anyone that dares to challenge your deranged opinion of yourself. I wouldn’t put much of anything past. A clown like you.

Other than your silly gamesmanship, I assure you that no one cares a whit about me.
Aren't you the one that doxed Michael?

You didn't over value anything did you?   8)
Probably all of it.  That's how business works.  We tell the bank what we think it's worth and they decide if they agree.

At least that's the way it is supposed to work.

Well it does give me a break from working on taxes. And my mother’s taxes.

Yeah you still have to pay taxes when you’re dead.
Well, if she is allowed to vote, then she should pay taxes.

Of course, if paying taxes was a prerequisite to vote, then Biden would have received about 40 million fewer votes.
(my wording is screwed up but my point should be obvious).

Give it a rest Pete.
Seems to me it is the others that need to give it a rest.  There are several attacking him and if he only responds to half of them it looks like he is not "resting".

He was being hyperbolic. Then you made it literal.
I disagree.  #7 was the one that brought it up even though Peter did not say it.  Or was Peter denying it that was going to far.

Reminds me of Trump being accused of rape and when he denied it he was accused of slander.  Sometimes you just can't win.

Exactly what a commie spy would say.
I thought it was obvious that that was a lie to show how easy it is to pretend to be someone you are not on an anonymous forum.
Since you put your comment in green I suspect you knew that, but . . .
