Are you saying that you think the population will actually shrink, or that we need continuous growth in population? What could cause the population to shrink other than War, pestilence and global climate change? (Notice, never did I say MAN-MADE climate change).
The higher the population, the denser the urban cities will become. What happens to politics when that happens? Socialism reigns. I would love for the population to be cut in half. Perhaps not immediately, but a steady decline. Bonus points if it were the stupid lazy people that went first.
Second, the US feeds the world. Farmers are having a tough go at it, aren’t appreciated, and are selling their land to real estate developers, or worse, the federal government.
The overpopulation thing is hyperbole that has been talked about for 60 years. If there’s food/water shortages, it has nothing to do with lack of supply.
