Title: Papa John's founder John Schnatter resigns as chairman
Post by: Lucifer on July 12, 2018, 06:36:03 AM
This guy is forced out of his own company for making a matter of fact statement.  He used the dreaded "N" word.

But yet we are deluged by hip hop artist and rappers, as well as black comedians pelting us over and over using the same word.

The Liberal/Progressive enjoy a huge double standard in today's society.  They can say, and do things that will have you demonized if you are White, and/or conservative or libertarian minded.  However, Bill Clinton can say he was the first Black President, and get away with it.

However, Bill Clinton can say he was the first Black President, and get away with it.

But yet he won't recognize his son he had by the black woman.

Double standard indeed.

Wait a minute. If I read that right, he used the word only because he was quoting someone else who said it.

No wonder #WalkAway is growing. The left is turning us into Nazi Germany here!

Here we see what Mr. Schnatter's real crime was:

Quote
Schnatter, a prominent Trump donor, admitted using the term in a statement given to Forbes this week, in which he apologized

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-5950347/Papa-Johns-dropped-Miami-Marlins-Tampa-Bay-Rays-John-Schnatter-N-word-phone-call.html

Had he been a progressive moonbat this would have never seen the light of day.

It's not quite that benign. It was not a direct quote.

True.  I haven't seen the whole quote in context, but it sounds like he was complaining that Colonel Sanders was able to get away with saying the N word without facing repercussions.  That was a stupid thing to say, even if it is true.

And I don't like his pizza either.

Stupid or not, and whether you like his pizza is immaterial.

Blacks use this word ad nauseam.  It's in the rap and hip hop lyrics.  Last night I watched a black comedian use it so many times I lost count, and his mainly black audience was laughing every time he said it.

Schnatter's actual crime?   He was a Trump supporter, so he must be punished.  You can bet your last dollar had he been funneling money to Felonious Von Pantsuits, or his stores were refusing to serve cops or anyone wearing a red MAGA hat you would have never heard this.

The part about the pizza was supposed to be a joke.  Lighten up.

Blacks use this word ad nauseam.  It's in the rap and hip hop lyrics.  Last night I watched a black comedian use it so many times I lost count, and his mainly black audience was laughing every time he said it.
Now that is immaterial.  That is just a form of self deprecating humor.

Let's be clear that he committed no crime.

Also news flash: words have meaning, context, nuance, and varying effect based on who says them.

Let's be clear here, the man was forced out of the company he created and founded by a bunch of SJW's because he made a matter of fact comment, using a word that these very SJW's use in laughter and to promote a culture.

And to take it further, this was done to him based upon purely political bases.    Go back to the Hillary campaign of 2016 when the emails came out of how Hillary staffers were disparaging minorities.  Did you see those people be demanded to resign?  Me neither.

And let's not forget how words have meaning, nuance, context and a varying effect.  Many Americans don't like being called deplorables because they have a political opinion.  Same goes with calling someone a Nazi based purely on disagreeing with them.

Look at how a national TV personality disparaged homosexuals on the Internet, yet was given a pass based purely on her political standing.  Had a conservative even touched the subject Media Matters and the SJW's wouldn't rest until that person was off the air and fired.

The whole "n" word is a political double standard used as a weapon against those they target.  It's the height of hypocrisy.

Yes, that’s pretty clear. And once again quickly exposes the hypocrisy in play 24/7. Were talking about ONE UTTERANCE. So if Famous Amos, the chocolate chip cookie guy, let slip the word “honkie,” he would have to step down in disgrace? Right!

I’m telling you, #WalkAway peeps of color are seeing the double standards and posting in their thousands. I’m hooked on reading their testimonials and watching their videos. Blacks and Latinos and people who come here legally from all around the world are posting there, walking away from the Democrats. Their identity politics are repugnant to all EXCEPT the diehard lefties.

Your whining about the fairness of life does not change the fact that the guy is a total idiot to have gone anywhere near that word. And a further idiot to have used it in the course of defending himself by proclaiming that other people have done worse in the past.

The progressive hypocrisy proudly displayed.

Let’s see if you remember this:

He still has his show.  Where were the cries for him to be fired?   He obviously said that remark in a disparaging way, and at one point justified it with a remark on how he dates black women.

But the progressives will jump back and say “Well, he apologized!”    So did Mr. Schnatter.

You lambast Mr Schnatter for going “near that word”, but yet you have failed to address my points of how progressives as well as black hip hop artist and comedians wrap themselves in that word to a point of rubbing everyone’s nose in it.

The hypocrisy of the alt left progressives has become sickening.

Bill Maher also compared Trump to a primate. As did Roseanne Barr with Valerie Jarret. Same behavior, different responses from the liberal media.

Classic case of someone who has a completely partisan viewing of events. Suffice it to say, when even Think Progress is skewering the guy, (https://thinkprogress.org/bill-maher-racist-history-b1d9c74283cd/) you've got a poor recollection of things. Suggest you broaden your news sources.

Further, I didn't fail to address your point about blacks using that word, I addressed it directly (http://www.pilotspin.com/index.php?topic=2838.msg49646#msg49646). I'm happy to set up a GoFundMe for you if you need some reading comprehension course material.

I can't help it if you ignore the well-known fact that something said by one person can take on a different meaning or context when said by another person. Example - my buddy calls his wife honey-tits. I do not call his wife honey-tits, for reasons I hope you can gather on your own.

Oh fuckin' please!  You honestly cannot be as dense as you constantly portray yourself.

Stop trying to justify hypocrisy.  One man's career is destroyed because he used a word in a matter of fact conversation.  Another man makes crude jokes using the word and he's hailed as a hero and media darling.

Your example is very much misapplied.

Just as you said that your Buddy uses the term "honey tits", Papa John said that Colonel Sanders used the N word. (Personally, I don't like saying that fucking word, even here on the Spin Zone).

So whether you call his wife honey tits to her face or not, you are just as guilty as Papa John.  Therefore, you need to resign your liberal card.

So, try another example, but give it more thought this time.

We went over this. Life isn't fair (http://www.pilotspin.com/index.php?topic=2838.msg49649#msg49649). Hypocrisy exists. Chairman of the board is not the same as TV Show Host. He shouldn't have touched that word with a 47 foot pole.

That rebuttal could be used against you too.  Why do people need a "safe space" when it comes to the N word?  Yes, the use of the word may be brutally unfair, but it is just a word.  Why does any one need to be protected from hearing it.

The word has been weaponized to be used against people to whom the progressives disagree.  Those that are in the fold of course will be excused, if not praised for their “courageous use” of the word or as we will be reminded, use the word for “entertainment”.

Any way they try to justify their actions is pure hypocrisy.

I don't know why anyone needs to be protected from hearing it, and nothing is stopping people from saying it. But, said people then may face the consequences in an unfair world. What I do know is that if I'm ever chairman of the board of a publically traded company with huge and lucrative public endorsements from national companies (fairly sure I won't be), I wouldn't utter the word even in my own mind, even if I had the inclination of doing so.

Sorry, but we have to invoke Godwin's law of Internet Discussions here and declare you the loser.  Any argument which resorts to comparing your opponent's position to any Nazi related topic is invalid unless you are talking about actual genocide.
