What would be accomplished by the perpetrators by killing the family but not the man in control of the money? Wouldn't he now be free to double down on thwarting the designs of the perps? Revenge, etc?

Looks like a sad accident - and not the first or last time for this kind of fatal accident.

The report is possible depressurization. The interesting part has been that the aircraft was reported to be in class "A" airspace and as such they wouldn't be violating anything.

A bit of a misleading headline.  It wasn’t his entire family, he and his wife still kicking. It was his daughter and her daughter. This has happened before, Payne Stewart, new LSU football coach back in the 70s. Think that flight just kept flying East out into the Atlantic until fuel exhaustion. Sad nevertheless.

Pay new Stewart was a pro golfer. In 1999 his Lear Jet departed Orlando for Texas. Suspicion is it depressurized, because if I recall fighters scrambled to put eyes on the plane stated that the windows were iced over.  It crashed in South Dakota when it ran out of fuel.

Think I was referring to the newly hired LSU football coach. Believe his was the incident I mentioned, not Stewart as you corrected. Thanks.

Got me. They were heading from Orlando to Texas. Got off course and headed northwest.
