New York Democratic Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez promoted a fundraiser for bail money for a group of counter-protesters that included Antifa members after a “Straight Pride” parade in Boston, Massachusetts, this weekend.
“One way to support the local LGBTQ community impacted by Boston’s white supremacist parade? Contribute to the Bail Fund for the activists who put themselves on the line protecting the Boston community,” Rep. Ocasio-Cortez said in a social media post Saturday.
Her post linked to a fundraiser that seeks to help counter-protesters from the “Straight Pride” event with “any legal fees, as well as supplies for jail support (rides home, food, changes of clothes, etc).”
The “Straight Pride Parade,” which took place in Boston Saturday, was planned by Super Happy Fun America, a group which “advocates on behalf of the straight community.”
Though the New York congresswoman refers to the protesters as “white supremacists,” Super Happy Fun America denied having connections to racism in a statement issued to The Daily Caller.
Can somebody explain, please, how a group of African Americans can be labeled "White Supremacist?
“Not sure which parade and ceremony she watched over the weekend, but of the 12 speakers on our stage, five were African-American, four were women, and three were African-American women. This was not intentional on our behalf, they reached out to us in support of our movement–it happened organically. If you remove the three main organizers from the lineup, the majority of speakers were African-American.

The Suffolk DA Racheal Rollins apparently wanted charges against some of the protesters dropped.
Fortunately the judge said no.
I wonder if that idiot Rollins wanted any charges against parade participants dropped.

Not a Leftist, but from what I've seen diversity in everything is celebrated EXCEPT diversity in thinking. That is not tolerated and must be eliminated by force if necessary if it doesn't match the Leftist party line.

DA Rollins has essentially said that she will not prosecute misdemeanors, theft less than $700 or other "low level" "non-violent" crimes because too many " poor people and black and brown people" are being locked up. This policy should take about 2 or 3 years to bear the fruit it has sown.

The poor, black and brown people are being locked up because they COMMIT CRIME. Often non-violent offenders have committed or will commit violent offenses. Unreal. She needs to lose her job. Wow. Racism is alive an well.

This should NOT be a prosecutorial decision! I have argued for not imprisoning nonviolent offenders but it should be through jury nullification, but all crimes need to be prosecuted. Criminals should only be let off the hook if the crime is something that has no business being a crime in the first place. That does not apply to theft.
This will indeed have the effect of giving people permission to steal, but only if they are not white. Unbelievable.

Before you know it they will be bragging about their low crime (prosecution) rate in the city and telling us how "right" they were to do this. On top of that they will explain how racist cities that do not do this are.

Isn't that what happened in Parkland? Too many students being imprisoned or expelled so they decided to stop reporting and dealing with criminal activity.
